The LRX is a fantastic piece of kit. Rarely do production cars retain 95% of their initial concept avatar. It's great to see Land Rover transfer the integral concept cues into the production version.
If it does remain a two-door, it might bring about the birth of a new breed of SUVs altogether! There have been other 2-door SUVs in the past, but this one would be the pinnacle IMO. And if priced right, I think it would eat away into the Q3/Q5, X1/X3's sales. This is one Land Rover launch I'm really looking forward to!

Umm..one question. Which segment does it fit into price-wise? As it is I am quite confused as to where LRs fit with respect to Beemer, Audi and Merc SUVs. Perhaps because LRs and Jags are somewhat overpriced here (high import duties? But shouldnt those apply to the others as well?)
So if I am not wrong
LR - BMW - Merc - Audi
none - X1 - none - Q3 (TBL)
Freelander - X3 - GLK - Q5
Discovery/LR3 - X5 - MClass - Q7
Range Rover - none - GL Class - none
And the RR Sport fits between Discovery and RR though its based on Discovery, right? So where does the Evoque fit in?
BTW its a stunner! Go Tata

I am surprised why there is no mention of the Evoque, probably the most important Range Rover model to have come out in recent times on tbhp.
Here's the Evoque in full detail. In love with the subtle, classy interiors and the stance.
