A site that features a scrap yard in the U.S. Just have a look at the classic beauties rotting and counting their last days. Cruel so to say!

This is what the German media says about our Environment Minister's comment a few days ago, saying owning a SUV is criminal. The viewer's comments below the newsitem are balanced but also in some cases quite vitriolic.

This one on Hyundai/Kia is informative. It says that Koreans are on a roll and that TOYOTA is casting a wary eye on Hyundai.

Valuable infographics about James Bond cars are seen on this website. It all started with the Sunbeam Alpine that featured in the 1st James Bond movie. The Aston Martin DB 5 featured in Goldfinger (1965) starring Sean Connery was the first true gadget loaded 007 car.

News about the most dangerous cars in HISTORY.It lists the Ford Pinto (Most unsafe), Smith Flyer (1915-1925),Chevrolet Corvair, the Mustang and as expected the Yugo among the ten.In a lawsuit filed in the US nearly three decades back, Ford Motors was told to compensate the victim driving a Ford Pinto who's gas tank had exploded in an accident causing grievous injuries to its driver. The compensation was to the tune of a huge amount in US dollars.
But for the Smith all other cars are from the later years.A note of caution- the Kia Rio (2009) is listed as the tenth most unsafe car and Kia is thinking of entering the Indian market very soon. More here:

Here's a newsitem about handcrafted hearse vans from Argentina, some of the best ever I feel. The woodwork on the body and the chassis extension are a class apart.Seems the older Cadillacs and also as seen the 1950's Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60 (should be 1952 and not 1942 as stated in the report) was quite popular with the coachbuilders there.

Snow, snowflakes and snowstorms!! In colder countries this is a perennial winter saga. Especially for motorists who park their cars outside and there's snow accumulated all over, overnight!
I found this link which is Minneapolis specific, but the saga is the same at all places with snow and the cars around.

Sad News: Chuck Jordan who had been GM's designer since 1949 till 1992 and labelled as the man who gave the 1959 Cadillac El Dorado its awesome tail fins, died at age 83 on Dec 9, 2010.
His designs as they say dripped with chrome, tailfins and the postwar exuberance.
Please go to this link for more on the subject:
