Tanner is good, but he's not a funny guy. Don't know about the other 2.

George Lopez would have been ideal choice.

Some how from the videos in youtube, i feel these 3 lack the spontaneous wit that BBC trio deliver. Also these guys kinda try to emulate the BBC. Anyways waiting to catch the episode and some amazing stunts Tanner can pull out

BBC had a great show because of the hosts. The way the 3 of them interact will never be replaced.

I honestly think that the show will be a failure. I despise Tanner Foust, he is a horrible commentator, I just hate how he reviews cars. (IE. Supercar whatever on Speed Channel, he bashes/trashes the hell out of them, although so do the boys in UK)

Nevertheless, I'll watch the show, but I'm not expecting to like it.

Yeah me too, while it wasnt bad, nothing comes close to the Trio of Jezza, Hamster & Captain Slow.

And yes they have their own stig & the star section is called Big Star in a Small Car & the car that they are using is an SX4 No not the sedan version but the Hatchback/mini SUV one

I liked it.

The hosts were a lot more subtle compared to the original. I guess they would have to be in America due to the passion for filing lawsuits that Americans are known to have.

Hey, first episode and they showcase a favourite car of mine - the Viper, I'm not complaining!

The show had fantastic cars (3Lambos, ViperSRT) and stunts. But, The magic of Jezza, Hamster & Captain Slow is missing. As a result it is a bit mundane.

P.S.: Top gear US resembles Fifth gear.

When you compare Top Gear USA with other auto shows in the US it pretty much blows them away. I would give it a few more weeks to see how the presenters chemistry develops.

Watched the first episode a few days ago. Sorry, but after watching 15 seasons of Jezza, Hamster and Slow, Top Gear USA just doesn't cut it. There's no chemistry between the presenters, and the presentation is just too plain. And a Dodge Viper racing a helicopter on the track? Puhleease, get some new ideas TG USA.

As long as you don't compare this to the BBC Top Gear, you'l enjoy it. They should have given it a different title.

Very true, but obviously because it has been given the same name (and the presentation style and studio make over), the comparison is unavoidable. Lets see how it goes over a next few weeks before jumping the gun on new trio!

Saw the second episode last night & well it looks like a re-run of the British series. As in the competitions that they are putting up are the same old ones which the UK guys have done before. May be those who havent seen the UK series will like the stunts & competitions more.

Having said that the presenters are not bad & they are indeed funny. The main guy drives very well being a stunt driver.

Last night was a race in an EVO from top to bottom of the hill with Skiers , then a blind man (trained by the stunt guy)against the other two anchors in a Drifting competition in a 370Z. They also featured the Aston Martin Vantage V8 & V12.

They are apparently picking up 3 cheap old cars(almost rust buckets) & will go through a series of tests.
