Default Ford as Phoenix. Ford strikes back!

>>>

A briefing on how Ford has turned its ship of overcapacity, low quality, management silos, a hydra headed product lineup into a leaner, with more focus on its bread and butter product portfolio, and a profitable organisation without handouts from the government.

Published in the latest print edition of The Economist*, this is essential reading for all of us who study and analyse the auto business. Read all about it in the link here

Regards, drive safe

That was a awe-inspiring job by done by Mullaly by saving Ford from congress hands, but most of it happened because of the sale of their marquee brands (say land rover, Jaguar and Volvo) if they had a plan to carry them then it would have been a sad picture.

Hats off to Mullaly's team and his effort.

A similar edition came in India today which talked about Ratan Tata and Tata rein after his take over as chairman. That one is also worth reading.
