however to be realistic they dont look good at all rightnow. MB and Mclaren seems to have got it. Atleast for the first race.

End of P3. Some offroading by Germans and as someone said, cars drifting on a dry track! Should be an interesting race this. LH as I wanted, tops the list

^ Vettel was on Mediums. Very interesting. That gravel picnic robbed us off some intel. There are many drivers with a shout for P1. Still anybody' guess. But F2012 looks to be in deeper trouble.

Teams are getting vary of Mercedes DRS activated F-duct. So we can assume it works as intended then.

From the final timings, it looks as if HRT would get knocked out by 7% rule. They were close to 8.5 %. Marussia on the other hand might manage.
Ferrari and Force India seem to be far from Q3.
Field seems to be closer than last year.

Why was Kimi running on the harder compound when others were on the soft tyres. He is 18th on the grid for tomorrow's race :(. Whereas his team mate Grosjean is 3rd in Q1.

Mercedes look real good.

McLaren we knew about. F2012 is a handful. And I still don't know whether RBR is keeping all that pace for Q3.

Now Redbull and Lotus to cry. Look the Merc's pace in Q2. WOW!

WOW! MSC 4th, HAM P1

MSC's best after his return. Can't wait for tomorrow's fireworks at front!

Cheers!

LH gets the cherry. Good show by Schumi. The old man proves he is still fast.

There is no doubt this season will make up for the boring 2011.

Thats a fantastic start for McLaren by blocking the front row.
Ferrari to start P12(Alonso) and P16(Massa). Its a bad start for them.
Grosjean(Lotus) was a surprise @ P3.
Mercedes is having a very competitive car this time, this will make the championship very interesting.
Hope Sahara Force India finishes with points.

It will be a challenge for Vettle to start at P6

RedBull have found someone superior. Mclarens are the team to look out for.

Mercedes now seems to have the pace to reach the podium.Schumi at his best Just wish he gets a clear field to dominate tomorrow.

What a shame for Ferrari.

Sad for Kimi, wonder what Grosjean had for breakfast today?

A perfect start to a great season, good to see many new faces and contenders for the pole apart from Redbull. Lotus has sprung a great surprise and it was sad to see kimi unable to fight for the pole. This season will reveal the maturity of Vettel.
Ferrari have a long way to go, definitely is a handful and is quite hard to drive around.

Mclaren showed some speed and they showed what had all along been suspected given the strong showing at the end of last season!! I am glad for Schumi and very well done Grosjean ... shame that Kimi had steering problems but the Iceman pummeling up the grid from the back with Alonso also thereabouts , thats a start to savour !
Its surprising to see how Ferrari has completely lost the plot in the last few years , feel sad for Alonso !

So, McLaren has a fast and beautiful car. And it is scary that Lewis lost time in 2nd sector to pin that 1m24.922s.

I think Ross Brawn was expecting front row with the Mercedes. He was very unhappy after Q3. I hope Micheal does well in the race.

Alonso put 2 wheels on the grass and lost the car. Alonso may have made the F2012 look better in Q3. Massa can never drive a difficult car fast. And the F2012 looks very difficult to drive. Ferrari will have to play catch up again.

RBR finds it mighty tough without the EBD. Happy to see the Williams and the Lotus. If only Kimi could make that lap. Poor Narain will do well to watch his back.

And the ugly stepped nose was the most overstated design element of the preseason.
