Correcting my earlier quote, he's left for BBC.

Kimi wasn't the only one getting blue flags. Here's Jenson complaining exactly the same!

Jenson - "Why do i keep getting the blue flags?"
Team - "Jenson, they are warning you of cars exiting the pits, everything is fine"

at 8:26

This was just before Kimi's radio message. Blue flags are never issued to warn the leading driver. So the marshals must have made a mistake there.

EDIT: Jenson complains further at 9:17, and team tells him that others are complaining too and there is some problem.

Most commentators on air/and some journalists were making fun of Kimi because they thought he forgot blue flags in last 2 years. How easy it is to come to conclusions!

Its not surprising the commentators said that. You should login into youtube and check out some of the pit to car radio telemetry during Kimi's tenure at Nascar. PURE COMEDY!!!!

After Kimi's radio message, I was observing the blue flags, and the flags were indeed being waved in a wrong fashion. The flags were not withdrawn at the right time, but cars which were not supposed to be flagged were seeing them.

It is very difficult to keep an eye out for the flags during a race. So, seeing a flag makes you think about it, and brain time is what drivers don't have especially when fighting for position. (I am saying this from personal experience)

Hamilton had a clutch problem at the start.

It has been revealed that Lewis Hamilton suffered a clutch problem at the start of the Australian Grand Prix a crucial factor which allowed race-winning team-mate Jenson Button to seize the lead on the run to the first corner.
