If di Resta can't get a seat in Ferrari, Lotus should hire him; far far better than Grosjean.

Massa likely to stay in Ferrari - http://www.f1zone.net/news/massa-sta...-sauber/16085/

Hulkenberg may go to Sauber. Poor di Resta needs a better team. I won't be surprised if FIF1 folds up or somebody takes over. There have been rumors that driver salaries have not been paid for this year. Also, both Mallya and Sahara are facing tough times here.

Kobayashi is in danger of losing 2013 seat. He should find sponsors to stay put.

Will Bernie be booted out, outcome of the bribery scandal. Mercedes seems to be pushing for it.

Default Hulkenberg set to join Sauber for 2013

BBC has reported of a deal between Hulkenberg and Sauber for 2013. He will be joined by Mexican Esteban Gutierrez, which means that Kobayashi will have to find sponsors as well as a new team. Mexican sponsorship of Sauber continues, which is a good news since money keeps flowing.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19940929

A lot of current and ex drivers have shown interest to fill Hulkenberg's place; Kobayashi, Sebastian Buemi, Jaime Alguersuari and old hand Adrian Sutil.

Why is Kobayashi left to go?

I like his aggressive driving style, and it's not like Hulkenberg has pulled miracles at FI, although he has topped Di Resta in several races (I wonder how many times NIco has qualified faster than Paul?).

Esteban will be an interesting driver to watch, his GP2 drives were always entertaining .

A funny tweet on this topic

TheHorseWhisperer ‏@GrilloRampante

There must be a contagious virus: those who think they know everything about Ferrari first emerge in Brazil, now in England!

Now, take this twist - http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/10/1...-join-ferrari/

Luca di Montezemolo has played down the prospect of Sebastian Vettel joining Ferrari in 2014, saying he doesn’t want “two roosters” at the team.

Nico rosberg has terrific sense of comedy
I mean any body who can say "Especially compared to McLaren I think we are getting a little bit closer, so there are some positives there"

What he might have actualy meant is " Mercedez is closing the gap to Mclaren as Mclaren are moving backwards much faster than we do"

Heck, he dint do a complete lap in Korea and he passes this ballsy comedy

Mclaren should give its drivers a better car to atleast avoid these pathetic comments from midfield cars

Whats wrong with Ferrari, Its certain that they cannot reign in similar supremacy they did with Schumacher with Alonso on board. Looks like these guys dont have long term plans.

First with Schumacher for 2013, and now with Vettel...

Agreed! But since Ferrari is a team which does to believe in equal treatment for both drivers, this setup (with Massa) suits them better. I am happy that Michael did not make/get a move to Ferrari. It would have been an insult for him (or for Vettel) to act on messages like ‘You're a bit too close to Fernando’.

With the way Massa is driving in the past couple of races, it would have been better for him to move into another team which will allow him to race. I feel quite sorry for the guy. I think he can be a good fit in the Lotus setup, instead of Grosjean.

Bridgestone were a large contributor to Shumi/Ferrari success with custom made tires. That era is long gone and the FIA will never allow it again.

The article is based on a rumour and has nothing to do with Ferrari itself.
Long term plans are in place with Alonso under contract till end 2016.

We are now in the Aero era, and Adrian Newey is a genius in that aspect.
Ferrari's wind tunnel problems mean that no aero updates have been put onto the car for the last 6-7 races. Its quite amazing that they are P2 in the Championship actually. With the WT being overhauled this winter, hopefully Ferrari will be problem free in 2013.

+1 to that. With wind tunnel problems fixed, Alonso will be the ideal person to lead the resurgence. If they can get Newey, they can probably achieve the same old aura again.

We should accept that all top drivers are egoistic. They do not want another strong driver in the team. Look around, Vettel has Webber, Lewis has Button. Though Webber and Button are good, they are not as good as their counterparts. And their teams have come together to help them. All teams want an excellent driver for WDC and a good driver for WDC.
