The Return of Martini Racing through Williams. Details on their new deal with Martini.

The most beautiful livery on the 2014 Grid in my opinion : ).
Behold, Williams Martini Racing:

Looks lovely the new livery. Williams have a great car and Im really looking forward to see them fight for podiums. They must be quite upset that their driver line up is not quite the best.

Williams is getting cooler and cooler this season!

A picture of Ayrton Senna will feature on the side of Williams cars for the 2014 season as Formula 1 marks the 20th anniversary of his death. His image, on the left of the nose cone, will include the words "Ayrton Senna Sempre", Portuguese for "always".

Williams have had the Senna Foundation's double S logo on their cars as a mark of respect ever since, but the new design will feature in 2014.

Exciting times ahead for Williams. New driver, title sponsor and they look solid in testing too. Given their illustrious history, they need to be back challenging at the front more consistently.

Speaking of changing fortunes, I hope Hulkenberg would complete his first full lap in Australian GP this time around.

2010- Accident - turn 6 on first lap.
2011- Didn't get a racing seat for the season
2012- Accident - first corner of first lap.
2013- Did not start the race due to fuel feed issue.

Official F1 2014 mobile app has been launched for iOS. Link: www.formula1.com

They seem to be following the freemium model. Can any iphone/ipad users confirm what you really get in the app without making a purchase?

Android users,
Please suggest a good android app to follow F1 races live- something that shows the live timing screen is good enough for me

Preliminary weather forecasts for Melbourne seem to indicate chances of rain on Sunday, as if the current churn is not enough

At least the Renault guys will have some respite from overheating. Maybe they'll actually make the starting grid and not catch fire on the formation lap :P

On a more serious note, it would be epic to watch the guys wrestling the torquey-er cars in the wet. But it would mean that we would have to wait at least 1 race to get some idea of the pecking order.

We certainly don't want a repeat of Grosjean's feat at Spa. I would prefer the drivers to get to the grips with the new car so that they can get out of the way of the 'Destroyers' team.

Found this explanation of changes to Q3, especially the extra set of tyres on f1fanatic

Quote:
Every driver will also be allocated an additional set of ďoptionĒ compound tyres. Those who reach Q3 may only use it in that part of qualifying, and those who do not reach Q3 may only use them during the race.
Can someone please explain how the above proposal would make all 10 cars actively participate in Q3?

Doesn't it mean the P10 driver is still at a disadvantage? If P11 would have an extra set of option tyres going into the race, that could prove to be a bad incentive for the P10 guy to 'destroy' his extra set of options during the Q3.

The potential P9 or P10 candidate who would sit out the Q3 in the current year could do a slow timed lap nursing his tyres to ensure it would still have enough life left for the race. That is only going to make things worse with slow moving cars screwing up the timed laps of the front runners.

What they should have done was to ask everyone to return the extra set of option tyres given for Q3 after qualifying. This would mean teams that didn't run in Q3 (P11-P22 and those who decide not to run in Q3) should return fresh tyres while those who ran would return used ones. That's what I thought the change was till I saw the above explanation.

Pretty useless without purchasing it but I also found it a bit on the expensive side for what it offers. I purchased it anyway for INR 590 just for the love of F1
