Rosberg's celebration on securing pole was a bit over the top, considering the circumstances. Hamilton's King size ego is clearly bruised. It will be interesting to see how his 'hunger' to beat his team mate will impact the race.

Well, Prost is still around mate

The Lewis vs Rosberg friendship is being tested now, cant wait to see who would carry a cool head around Monaco today. The Redbull might throw in a surprise I think, Daniel is looking very very good around Monaco in that Redbull.

Doubt anyone can die in F1 nowadays if thrown into the wall with their safety cocoon. I look forward to this battle. Perhaps it'll be as good as the 2007 fight : D

I'm hoping now that Rosberg finishes the race and doesn't crash out as I have opted for the pole sitter bonus in FRL for Monaco.

Otherwise I wouldn't have minded both Mercs crashing out and the rest of the field fighting for the win.

Hamilton and riccardio battling it out! Immense thrill this time. Rosberg did it again. Lots of engine failures this time. What's up with that?

Seems like the drivers have been looking at Delhi traffic to understand overtaking this time around!
Crazy moves all around!

As a hardcore Hamilton fan, so sad to see today's result.

However, as an equal fan of competition in a sport, I am also elated to see today's result. Mixed feelings really.

This is the best the fans could ever want. Intense competition and drama unfolding GP after GP.

However, I think since Nico is a Monaco specialist, this is a one-off. LH will kick his arse on any other circuit in terms of sheer speed.

Worked out for you : D
I'm sad about HAM not winning this and thus breaking his x wins in a row run. Still continues to be a 1-2 Merc run so far...
Good race for Monaco which is usually borefest

Missed the last 10 laps due to a phone call!

Misfortune seems to be stuck with Kimi. Sad to see that he couldn't convert the wonderful start into a strong result. P4 was his if not for that second stop.

Great job from Marussia to get into the points. $30 million at the end of the year seems to be assured for them now, if not more. It would be difficult for Sauber to get back the P9 in constructors.

Yes, Very bad luck for kimi. It would have been fun to see kimi beat ALO. Which we all know annoys him to no extent being beaten by a team mate: P

For me the last 6 laps from Ricardo closing on Hamilton was the best part of today's race.
Rosberg and Hamilton's rivalry this season is still bubbling.
Rosberg call them as friends as always how it had been whilst Hamilton emphasise they are colleagues.
On the radio Hamilton questioned the decision, saying he knew he should have asked to pit and adding "I also knew you guys wouldn't pit me", which he says is down to the way Mercedes makes its strategy decisions compared to McLaren, the team he left in 2012.
Nico Hulkenberg's move on Kevin Magnussen was repeat of what he did to Alonso last year on the same turn and on the same fashion.

Also how could dirt find a way into a Formula 1 helmet? Weird isn't it, or am I the only one here?

Cheers!

Most of us missed this during the race, the cause for Kimi's 2nd stop. It was Max Chilton making contact with Kimi while unlapping himself behind the SC. Another weekend loaded with bad luck for the finn.

http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/motorsport/story/160097.html

But one thing is evident, Kimi is getting more settled down with the FIAT. Alonso will remember the 15 second gap that Kimi managed to pull away in the first stint before the safety car. Its not going to be easy for the asturian from now

Oo, so what most of us thought that he had to pit again because of a puncture due to the debris is wrong.
Sad indeed. I was really longing to see Kimi on the podium after so long.
And the gap between Kimi and Ric before the safety car was some 3.5 seconds which then reduced to some 2.5 secs. I missed the reason for the same, why was that?

Unbelievable isnt it. 6th race now and every race kimi is managing to find himself in unfortunate situations.

Fastest lap in that joke of a racing car...THAT,people...is Kimi Raikkonen & that is all im taking away from this race.

Let people keep discounting him, he doesnt care..why should we? He knows what he is truly made of (& what hes doing ofcourse ) and so do his admirers.
