Default Michelin to become MotoGP tyre supplier from 2016

Dorna Sports, promoter and organiser of the MotoGP World Championship, which is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), has announced that Michelin will be the sole supplier of tyres to teams participating in the series from 2016.
Bridgestone has been the sole tyre supplier for Moto GP for quite some years now. They solely provided all the tyres (different specification) for the sport and now have withdrawn from this role.

Michelin has been in the game before and is making a comeback from 2016. Michelin claims they are all set to provide the riders with increasingly higher levels of grip in dry and wet conditions alike.

Default Re: Michelin to become MotoGP tyre supplier from 2016

I'm somehow not for the single tyre manufacturer policy. Multiple manufacturers multiply the excitement.

Remember the year 2007 when Vale had a row with Michelin for calling their tyres as incompetent. Come 2008 and works Yamaha had two bikes with two manufacturers with Vale switching to Bridgestone and Jorge sticking to Michelins.

And then, during the middle of the season, Laguna Seca..
