I'll be glued to the television tomorrow. Fingers crossed for Ferrari. Also, Felipe Massa is an unexpected result at third position. Lets see.

Even in 2014, Red Bull was no match for the silver arrows. However, they won 3 races since they were better than a Mercedes with overheated brakes or ERS malfunction. That could still happen in a race or two this season!

Bottas's participation in the race tomorrow will only be decided on after medical checks on Sunday morning.

The Finn went to hospital having suffered back pain during qualifying, putting him in doubt for Sunday's race.

Quote:
"The update will be tomorrow," said Rob Smedley. "He's going back to his hotel to rest, so he's not being kept in hospital overnight.

"It's absolutely not for me to say [if he can race], that's for the medical people to say. He has to go through all the correct checks this evening and tomorrow. He has to get through this initial bit, get all the medical care and treatment and have the assessment tomorrow. Then we will know."

Smedley added that Bottas has never suffered similar problems in the past, and that he was in a lot of pain after qualifying.

"It's come out of the blue," he said. "[The medical people] will tell us what happened but to us there were no previous signs. He was in a great deal of pain and he managed to be three tenths off that little group in front of him, so he has done a really good job."
Hope the lad will be okay for tomorrow.

I'm sorry, but did star sports run ads in the last 10 seconds of q3?
What monkey was sitting at the controls?
"Hamilton, even faster..... " and then anushka Sharmas boyfriend was on the screen! Morons!!

Pretty sad to see Bottas in doubt for the race. I was hoping he'd give serious competition for the podium. Hoping Ferrari have the race pace, let's see if RAI or VET make it to the podium. From looks of the practice and qualifying sessions, VET move looks brighter and ALO (..hmm lets not talk about it). Looking at McLaren's woes they'll be lucky to see their cars last the race distance.

On a cursory look at the post-race shows, it was raining in the background. I see about 20% chances of rain tomorrow, not sure we will see any though.

Confirmed: Bottas would skip the Australian GP due to back injury. Its a pity since Williams had a very good car and he had a good chance at the last step in the podium. Hopefully, he might benefit from the lower mileage on his engine to push even further in subsequent races.

So today's race would start with 17 cars. Lets see how many many would last over the race distance.

EDIT: Forget about cars lasting the entire race distance; lets see how many actually start the race!

Magnussen and Kvyat have stopped on the way to the grid and could potentially be retiring even before the race start. Would all finishers today get points? Reminds me of the pre-school competitions where everyone is a winner

There are a couple of free sites mentioned in the thread. Check them out. Since I'm on my official laptop, I cannot try out those links and had to purchase the online streaming at starsports.com

Kimi recovered beautifully to get back to P5 but had to retire after the second stop due to an improperly fitted left rear tyre! What a shame! To make things worse, he could get further penalty (unsafe release) for next race.

Down to 11 cars now with 11 laps to go. McLaren is the only car running outside points, unless we see another retirement.

Kimi could get 10 place grid penalty for the next race due to unsafe release. Vettel to third with 3 laps remaining. Hamilton leading Rosberg by 1.5 seconds.
