Saw both snippets but the way these superhumans have trained themselves, don't think it will have any impact on championship.

Looks like Nicky Hayden is going to leave MotoGP for WSBK in 2016.

About time he made that decision. Atleast he will still get to race big motorcycles in a premier class championship and will also have some media attention and fan following still going on.
Though I've always wished to see some MotoGP riders take on the mountain course of Isle of Man TT after retirement. Just curious to see how their riding style fares against the local heroes.
But sad to see no American riders on the grid next year. Wouldn't this affect the viewership numbers there?
BTW, shouldn't this be a separate thread altogether? Even more so because the news is now official and not just a rumor.

What a qualification section. Cracking final quali laps from Rossi and Lorenzo.

What an absolutely flying lap by the factory Yamahas in Q2 at the Motegi GP.

Superb ride by VR46 to make up several places and qualify 2nd!!

1st row looks stunning - JLO, VR, MM!!

Well, I think this time Lorenzo's strategy of pulling ahead in the distance backfired as he couldn't conserve the tyres as good as others.

What an amazing ride by Dani Pedrosa - came up from no where to take victory!

More importantly, huge moment for Rossi and his world title, lead extends to 18 points with 3 more rounds to go!!

GO VALENTINO!!!! THE TENTH IS NOT FAR NOW!!

# Lorenzo's breathing deflector worked or HJC designed the helmet better. Whatever, there was no fogging up or misting this time around.

# Dani appears to be charged from the past 2 rounds. Good for championship [not winning one, but providing twist] & race

# Experience counts. I could see Dani & Lorenzo taking the racing line, but Rossi used to hit the wet patches to cool his wet tires.

# It was dramatic to see Lorenzo pulling a lead so quickly and equally awe inspiring to see Dani & Rossi hunt him down.

# Wet races or not ideal conditions don't paint a true picture. We might have a different winner had it been a dry race.

# Others [save for Dani] might be asked to cut on their diet Front tires were fried of both, but Dani's tire was conserved.

I would love to see the top 4/5 guys going all out on Philip Island, this track is divine.

I would want Rossi to win this championship and win maximum number of races [this season] as well. I just don't want Lorenzo to have more race wins & just because of more points, Rossi has the championship. No, not done.

Positive of the race :-

Dear Pedrosa, thank you very much for dragging Rossi with you past Lorenzo.

This was just a god send for VR!!
Brilliant brilliant outcome, although not one I was actually hoping for when I saw him qualify 2nd, and the track was wet. Pedrosa seems to have gotten a pouch of the Gaul's magic potion!! Yowza!
Killer moves by Vale. Such a topsy turvy race, with championship calculators frying their circuits!

Lorenzo is picking up some major backlash over his comments in the post-race interviews after yesterday's Motegi GP in Japan.

Apparently, he has put everything down to bad luck despite him being the "FASTEST" in the entire season and has listed everything from helmet trouble in Qatar to rain in the recent few races as main reasons why he is chasing Vale and not the other way round.

This has not gone down well with even his own fans with the main refrain being Jorge can't blame anyone but himself. If he didn't use his front tyre that much in the opening then he might have been able to fend off Rossi until the end.

Personally, I believe the heat is getting to him. The entire grid had to face the exact same situations as he did over the course of the season and perhaps if he'd managed things more smartly he wouldn't have needed to complain now.

Helmet trouble in two races, rain in 2-3 more, including crashing out in one - you can't blame anyone but yourself for these issues and challenges.

Not for nothing is experience still playing a major role and the wily old fox is top of the charts. Not for nothing is it a "WORLD" Championship. You have to be consistent, and manage each situation to benefit yourself the most, something which JLO is still to master.

PS : Just sharing the snippets I found in various other publications. Didn't come up with any of this myself to flame JLO.

Peace.

class of Rossi is still underrated, its not only because of his riding he has fans, its much more than that

Quote:
Valentino Rossi took a dim view of Lorenzo's appeal to luck. "I think it is disrespectful to me to blame fate," Rossi told the Italian press. He could not resist taking a dig at his teammate when asked about tire preservation. "You could say I was more intelligent," Rossi answered. "But let's say that I am more lucky."

Wrong move from Lorenzo there.

Even in defeat, one should be graceful. His comments might've been justified if he had been forced to crash by someone on the track.

The choice of helmets were his. No one asked him to stick to the HJC after it gave him problems the first time. No one asked him to push so hard at Misano either. Where he is in the standings is his doing alone.

Bad luck would be if he had run on faulty tyres or some mechanical failure that cost him points.

Rossi and the others were subjected to the exact same conditions, they did what they could with them and it was better than what Lorenzo could manage. Simple as that.

Thank God, Lorenzo didn't blame God or the weather for drying up the track especially for him. This cry-baby attitude doesn't befit a 2 time Moto GP Champ.

Had Stoner been in his shoes, I wonder whom Stoner would have blamed
