Default 248 F1-Ferrari's parting gift to Michael

Quote:
Michael Schumacher can keep the Brazil-spec single-seater - the 248 F1 - that he will race for the last time in his sixteen year career at Interlagos this Sunday, according to Luca di Montezemolo. "I cannot think of a better parting gift for him," the Ferrari President is quoted as saying by AZ
A 20,000 rpm monster. What a gift. But it cant be bigger than the 8th WDC which they couldn't give him.

Note from mod: Please stay on topic. MS bashing in every thread you encounter is getting a little too much

Thats a nice parting gift. How about the Y2000 car that got Ferrari its first championship with Ferrari? More than anything....the respect and admiration that he receives from within Ferrari is a gift enough.

its not the money that counts, its what respect they have for him,i dont think many drivers have got a decent parting gift from their team,a F1 car is a long shot.

so if they give the car to him it does say something of his relation with the team, what the outside world thinks dosent matter.

PS:the fonso comment was just fun.

Actually! These companies should think twice before giving these gifts. First poor guy loses out on a skyscraping pay packet. And then this? My word, a watch would have made such a nice retirement gift.

Beffiting gift for schumi will give company to his enzo and fxx which were also gifted to him by Ferrari.Maybe it wil be used with the fxx on track days .Wondering how would be able to get new engines for this even if he gets a track made which is nothing for somebody who earns 500 crore a year.

F1 car off tarck is as good as a show-piece. And that would be a lovey one. MS just needs to get a glass housing for it :-)
