Kvyat needs a kick in his back. Very clumsy. He screwed up Alonso and Max's race in one shot. Should be curtains for him by end of season.

Bottas got lucky with the start. He made a great judgement call as to when the lights will go out and was within the threshold set by FIA for jump starts.

Great video grab. Seb was right then, it could not have been a 0.2s reaction time.

Saved by the skin of his teeth!

Extremely boring race in my opinion, I was actually hoping for rain or some other disturbance to shake things up a little bit. It was only towards the end that things became a little interesting - fight between Bottas and Vettel was getting hotter, I was wishing there were more laps.
Good job by the Force India team - both points scored (unlike last time)
+20 seconds between the top four and the others. 7th finisher (Perez) actually 1 lap down. What a difference!

Bottas is getting hang of winning races
This was the first win (2nd in total) from pole to chequered flag. Split second reaction at the start. It can not get closer than this.

Tyre blistering made the race eventful. It was weird to see Hamilton's Ultras getting blisters within 3-4 laps after the pit stop.

Kvyat made a mess of poor start. Drive through penalty was a joke.

Verstappen - 5 DNF out of 7. A talented driver being wasted? Did he engage anti-stall at the start?

Ferrari should have responded to Hamilton's pitstop. Bad strategy costed him 4th position and more points gap for Vettel.

Battle between Ham/Ricciardo was too good. Vettel charging hard in the closing laps was exciting.

Raikkonen's radio conversation was entertaining.

Kvyat is a joker and doesn't deserve to be in a midfield car. He needs to get out.

Vettel needs to stop crying for everything around him and just concentrate on racing.

Overall quite a decent race especially towards the end. Couple of laps more might have seen Vettel and Hamilton pip Bottas and Ricciardo respectively.

Now over to Britain next week!

What a boring race! The only reason i still watch F1 is because of Kimi but seems like he is not interested anymore. isn't it odd that Kimi has some or the other problem with his car every race?

Missed Alonso's curt and direct radio messages! What a waste of talent!

The last lap was interesting but the rest of the 70 laps were yawn inducing!

No more live F1 for me anymore. Will watch rerun on hotstar if there is anything interesting. Sunday evenings are a bit too precious now!

F1 always had these boring races once in a while.
This one was OK at the start and the finish atleast.
Mercedes's - especially Lewis's struggles are what stood out for me in this race.
Shows that they dont have the luxury of sandbagging anymore.

Best reaction time of 0.233 seconds. I guess the younger, fitter drivers with tons of practice will be able to do 150ms reaction time to lights out easily.

Bottas' reaction time was almost unreal.

I am 54 (born 1963) I tried this 3 times and I got sub 0.3 secs each time. Does not prove anything.

I am not even a regular driver, I am chauffeured most of the time.

Excellent find jfxavier. I got lucky on my second attempt after jump starting first time.

It was the least interesting race of the season till now except for the first and last laps. Redbul and Ricciardo seems to make it a habit of getting the podium results when the top teams falter to make it to top positions.

0.077 is brilliant. I tried it a 4th time and got twice that.

Loved the closing stages. Especially the late charge from Seb. But what's with his arrogant(?) statement to Bottas of one more lap (and could've caught you) at the end of the race? Someone should show him Dominic Torretto's clip where he says.. "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning"

My normal reaction range is 0.221 to 0.250

Best fluke time after 2 jump starts is attached.

Let me analyze this. You got 0.009, which means your screen refresh rate is in excess of 111.111 Hz. At T_0 the red pixels of your screen went black, and you registered a touch within the next 9 milliseconds. This is phenomenal response time for a capacitive touch screen! The refresh rates and response timings are technologically possible, no doubt (Commercially available?). But what about human persistence of vision? Shouldn't your eyes be seeing the red lights for at least 33 milliseconds after T_0?

I guess the same happened for Bottas. The system, or more specifically the governing laws, was beaten on technicality. Fair enough.

And BTW, I reject all of these timings unless it is done with your foot the human foot is about 10 ms slower than the hand when it comes to response (https://www.hindawi.com/journals/bmri/2014/769296/)
