We will get to see a night MotoGP race, soon....
The first race of the 2008 MotoGP season on the Losail (qatar) International Circuit will be run at night, a first for the world championship class of motorcycle racing.

Man this will be something to watch. I remember last year when Rossi, Capirossi and Kenny Roberts Jr. did a test run at night at Losial Circuit on road bikes after the qualifying for the 2006 round. They weren't very optimistic that time regarding the race being held under flood lights.

The lighting has to be top notch since they will be doing over 300 kph and absolutely no reflections or shadows have to be present. The brake markers also need to be visible from a distance while doing those speeds.

Dam this'll be fun. It'll have to be really well lit.

Will they have headlights, like the Suzuka 8-hour superbike race.

The track seemed pretty well-lit in the youtube video! Nascar guys don't have headlights, so I don't think it is a necessity. But, who knows!?

I doubt it. is this 8 hour endurance race that u've posted a pic from? they're pretty low profile as opposed to moto gp ?!

Yup, the Suzuka endurance race...very popular in Japan, but not so elsewhere.
