Finally!!!!!!!! Finally a Fernando Alonso - DNF

But sadly Michael Schumacher - DNF

If you divide this race into 3 parts then it was a Great 1st part of the race for FA, Stunning second part of the race for MS, but both flopped in the final part of the race.

Loved the way Fonsi was attacking in the first few laps and the way Shummi was defending his position with terrible Bridgestone wet tires.

But the way Shummi overtaking at will before his 2nd pit stop with a string of lap records and fastest laps was quite something.

In the end i guess it was a better day for Renault since the gap between Fonsi and MS is constant but there is 1 race less for Shummi to narrow down the 11 point lead the Fonsi enjoys over MS

I think he was being a bit too stubborn. He should have let Pedro De La Rosa pass him after a few laps. De La Rosa was a lot faster than Schumi. It was cos of him being so stubborn that led him to a DNF

The way things were going Alonso would have finished first and increased the gap between him nd Schumi

Fantastic drive by Button to win his 1st ever race. He well and truly deserved it.
Both Fonsi and Schmuk were screwed over by their own teams, Schmuk being completely responsible for his own retirement. An oppurtunity to close down Alonso in the drivers championship and he lets it go by. So much for the "rain master".

The start was just superb, and in the 2nd part when i just thought it was over for Schumacher, the inevitable happened to Alonso. And then just as it seemed that Schumacher could clinch atleast 5points minimum, again the same thing!!! The final segment of the race was just

BTW, Schumacher did finish the race... he was 9th i think..

Wonderful drive by Button and Pedro de la Rosa.
Alonso was screwed by his own team and honestly, Michael Schumacher got what he deserved.

Bad luck for Fonsi...was really hoping he'd grab the top spot are Kimi retired and increase the gap between him and Schumi...

Lucky for the "rain-master".

It was an amazing race and a bit more if you're a Honda fan!!!

So finally, Honda makes it's mark on the top step of the podium.

Congrats to Honda and Button. This race would have surely given the team new hope.

PS : It was just on the 30th of July when Button was interviewed on Top Gear, Jeremy asked him if he would give up everything he had for that 1st win and he said "100%". Good thing he waited for 7 more days.

The way things were going, Shummi could have also finished 2nd or 3th or 4th and get atleast 5 points at a bare minimum and eat the gap down to just 6 points . But in F1 there is no room for if's and but's.

Thats racing dude!. What did you expect??? Shummi just giving way to de la rosa and Heidfeld without a fight with just 4-5laps remaining???

Did u guys notice the tyres after the race.....both Michelin and Bridgestone. Man they were literally ripped apart. The dry weather tyres also were in very bad shape. Surprisingly no tyre failure in this race!

This was the best race and everyone said that hungary is going to be a boring one!
Thanks to the rain and ofcourse to Kimi's slight distraction we had a great race. Happy with the outcome and the effort each one driver put in.
Alonso was superb and so was Schumi... they really put on a good show. Wish they could install sprinklers in all the circuits and turn em on at each race... just to throw things off! It would be better to watch F1 with a new race winner everytime.. that way even Midland and Super Aguri might make it to the podium sometime
