Hayden going the Melandri way with Ducati... Expected more from the Kentucky Kid. Hope he comes to grips wth the bike soon and starts finishing in the top 5-7 so Ducati agree to sustain him.

Will be real bad to see him go the Melandri way if things dont worl out with Ducati.

Thats the way it is currently. Stoner fighting for the top three positions and the second factory Ducati fighting for the bottom three.

The way I see, its not a reflection on the abilities of the second Ducati rider. Capirossi is doing well on the Suzuki and Melandri seems to have re-discovered himself.

Ducati need to build a bike that can ridden fast and not just by Stoner.

it appears that the duke has been tailor made for stoner. thats great for ducati today and tmor as long as stoner is racing but not good for the day after because no one will be able to ride it to its potential and
me too likes to see nicky doo well but sadly it appears to be going the melandri way.

by the way, did any of you watch the monza sbk race? awesome racing as expected from sbk. and an interesting bit was that the podium celebration song was ar rahman's jaya ho!!!

Capirex looked reasonably at home with the Duke before Stoner took over.

Only read the reports, of Ben bein just few meters away from the FL in Race 1 before running out of fuel. He needs to take few lessons from Felipe and Ferrari.. But, now that he's closin on the gap to Nori it should make the remaining season interesting.

In a bid to improve the competitiveness of other 3 riders Ducati has roped in Troy Bayliss.

Report can be seen here: autosport.com - MotoGP News: Ducati pushes to help struggling riders

and

autosport.com - MotoGP News: Bayliss rides MotoGP bike again

Cheers

Bayliss was seen at the Ducati Corse paddock in Monza also in WSBK last Sunday. Looks like Ducati are just not ready to let go of possibly their best rider...

Race 2?
Anyways, I want to see them fight it out till the end of the season.

Action from Le Mans today, Vale is looking for his 99th victory. Dani has taken the pole from JLo followed by Casey and Vale. The four are separated by a very thin time gap on the grid. There's a rain forecast as well.

One crazy race , god never seen so much madness... Rossi four time in the pit late and out of that one was a penalty. Good Show by Lorenzo.

Default Round 5: Mugello

Eventful race! It's two Wet + Dry races in succession now. Casey finished at the top and became the first rider after Loris to beat Vale at Mugello after eight years. The Fiat Yamahas of JLo and Valentino finished second and third respectively.

Colin did a late surge and beat his team mate James (again?) in the final lap. Dani lost his front end and looks to be in trouble. His teammate Dovi however finished 4th after leading the race for a few laps. Capirex finished 5th after what looked to be a podium for him. The Fiat Yamahas nailed his podium hope.

Now we've Casey leading the championship with 90 points, JLo 2nd with 86 points followed by Valentino at 81 points. With 5 rounds over, just 9 points separate the top 3 in the championship.

Ahh What a race.

Rossi,
Stoner,
Dovi,
Melandri,
Capirex all led this race one time or other.

Bad crash for Dani and nice to hear that he is alright.

Impressive stuff from lorenzo, he crashed while taking bike from pit lane to the starting grid and they changed the bike.

Championship looks pretty close this year.

Yes, this was the most exciting race so far this season.

Ducati's first home victory!!! Stoner made it possible though he had clutch issues in the middle.

Lorenzo has proved yet again that he is capable of winning in these wet-dry conditions.

Bad luck for Pedrosa, but what a start, he was leading at trun 1 in spite of starting from 8th position !!

Rossi, well I am glad he finished on podium, at least. The fans (including myself) wanted to see him win this one and extend his home victory's in a row!

And Dovizioso/Marco ... wow!!! the competition moved up 10 notches in this race!!!
