Thats a bad crash, and surprising one at that. The video didnt seem to show how Sulayem fared following the crash, but i get the feeling he is fine.

That was too bad a crash. I wish the video showed the testing part too. Thanks for sharing.

Regards,

Anirban.

He did that well, didn't he!

Besides, even after he crashed the car, his foot for pinned to the throttle for a couple of seconds. So maybe he must have lost control because of high revving the car and building too much torque up, after all...

Jst my 2 cents...

This looks like last year's Renault (looking at the wings). That should have given him a better aerodynamic grip.

I read the news reports that he is fine.

Maybe he forgot that F1 cars no longer have traction control.

Well just not his day. One small error caused this to happen.

Thats not that bad a accident. Unfortunate none the less.

Bin Sulayem is no stranger to high performance cars. However in this incident looks like he got over zealous to beat the GT40. He should have done a couple of sane slow laps before pushing the pedal down so hard.

I doubt if this was a mechanical failure. Just 100yards? Renault is certainly more reliable than that.

Plus like someone mentioned, looks like his right foot did not let go even after the crash.

What the heck, he can pay off Renault so easily that its not even funny.

Yikes, that looks like quite a bad crash! but i think its more of a loss of control rather than a failure of mechanical parts. What was really surprising was the time between the crash and crew reaching there.
