He had gearbox problems, loosing 3rd & 5th gear. When his car was running good, he was doing well, even managing to gain a place or 2 on the start itself for a change (usually he makes bad starts).

Unhappy

NK had gearbox problems right at the begining laps of the race,
hence he was not able to push it. Its a good thing that he finished with a crippled car.
There is no disputing the fact that he controls the car, as good as anyone else on the grid, if not better.

I was particulary impressed with his qualifying lap for the GP. Did well to get ahead of his team mate and the two Minardis. But luck ran out on him on race day. Driving a car with two gears missing is not easy and I give credit to him for driving his car with total control and watching his mirrors at the same time. We really arent getting to see Narains potential because the car is letting him down on most occasions. I hope Jordan get their 'B' spec car out soon so we can really see what Narain is made of

Wink

The new jordon car is the same as RBR's. NK will be a serious threat to RBR, if his car performs as per expectations. Now the real fun begins in Silverstone onwards.

Wish NK gets a better car. He is also in his first season. So cant expect much out of him. He is driving in most of the tracks and conditions for the first time may be.
Have to wait and see if he does well with his new car later. If he finds himself close to 10th position that will be a great achivement for his frist F1 season.

Yeah he did qualify better than Tiago, but the way he drove for qualifying was like driving a rally car, sliding around and locking up wheels. He needs to keep his cool. But anyway he has done very well considering his car.

French GP was rather a boring race... no overtaking at all, everthing was done in the pits.. brilliant stratergy by McLaren to get both their cars onto the podium until JPM's car suffered a mechanical problem(g'box failure??). Kimi, had it not been for the engine failure would have challenged Alonso for the win. Both the McLarens were superquick.
Ferrari did well to get Schumi on the podium but, Barrichello could have finished in a better position.
Alonso looked really good, his first few laps really set the race win for him. Renault looked strong on their home turf.
The most entertaining driver of them all was Sato..... he was everywhere!! He tried everything possible to get a better position.
NK had a problematic race, but, atleast he finished the race.
Hopefully the British GP would be more fun to watch.

yeahh ... silverstone ..UK ..rain ..drama !

i wonder why Williams is lacking ...they were looking strong a month back and again they have dropped to the midfield...

mclarens are super sonic this season .. renaults cant afford to make a mistake ..neither can kimi but the pressures on renault still ..

With 7 races to go and schumi lurking in 3rd place and well within the striking range with a ferrari that lacks serious pace cannot be ignored ... still wont put money on whos gonna take this year championship

One of the more mundane races we've witnessed so far unlike the US GP (lol). I was predicting that Mclaren would go for a 2 stop rather than 3. But it was surprising to see how many drivers were on a 3 stop. Even the Williams...if i remember correctly.

But Raikkonen was the man of the race definitely. from 13 to 2nd...amazing. And bad luck for Montoya again...must have been so frustrating for him. Again, it was ferrari who benefitted. The pace of ferraris relative to the renaults and Mclarens just goes to show that Schumacher was being a jackass by claiming that he would have won at Indy anyway. Yeah...right.

I was hoping to see a tussle between alonso and Raikkonen towards the end but the lead Alonso had built up at the beginning was enough to let him cruise to the flag. One big surprise was the lack of pace from both Williams all throughout the weekend.

In conclusion, a very french affair with a French team on french tyres winning on french turf.

PS: Did you guys get a chance to read the comments made by Red-Bull about France in the build up to the weekend?

Boring race!!! Nothing much to talk about either ....
My word, Ferrari will struggle at Silverstone.
