Exclamation Orange out, new livery for Renault F1?!

With ING having pulled the plug on its sponsorship of the Renault since 'Crashgate', there's talk that Renault might be in for a change of livery as soon as Brazil this weekend. The ING logos disappeared in Japan and now the orange colour too looks set to follow suit.
Renault ran a striking yellow and black combo during the 70's & 80's (often referred to as 'The Yellow Teapot' racers), and it's often been considered the official 'Renault' house livery since. If rumours are to be believed, this classic livery might be in for comeback this weekend. And here's an imagining of what the R29 could be wearing in Brazil..

I'm glad they dropped that hideous orange livery. I liked the Benetton blue but this is classic.

Looks very neat. Much better the one they had during the association with ING.

IMHO, the new livery looks more mean and aggressive than the old White-Orange one.

Thats really classic. Almost similar stuff to what they were sporting back in the late 70s

I hope this livery is final!

Agreed - the yellow & black combination is a lot more eye catching than the older livery.... a refreshing change I'd say...

ING is Dutch and the racing colours for The Netherlands is Orange - in honour of their Royal family 'House of Orange'. This was perhaps the reason the Renaults wore Orange during their association with ING.

Cheers,

ING's sponsorship was anyway ending with the 2009 season, but the crashgate hastened that process.

Somehow, I liked that orange theme on Renault!
