Watching practice [online :-( ] , the Pirelli boards have been sorted!!

Session red flagged due to stray dogs on track!!

Note from the Team-BHP Support Team: Please use the "edit" button if posting within 30 minutes of the first post, instead of creating another back-to-back post.

I really really like the circuit, probably the first Tilke that I have ever (even) liked as much. Does not seem to be too bumpy other than in a few braking zones. What does concern me is the dust. Even though Baharin is also quite dusty there is something else about the NCR dust. Temperatures will probably be optimal. Expected high of 32 degrees on Sunday, I'm skipping Friday practice and qualifying, will be there on Sunday!

Another edit:

Watching the practice live on http://www.icesportz.eu/
Looks very dusty. Is dust going to be a problem here? Would really appreciate some Delhi/Noida guys to give a "on the ground" feel.

I don't think this is the commentary cell for BBC, this seems to be some editing room. Media giant like BBC cannot be given such type of rooms as this would create big controversy.
Their has been separate media center that has been made along the circuit with full view of the track.

Those of you who have been to the practice session or would be attending the qualifying, could you please report on whether DSLRs are allowed or not?
I would really really appreciate if someone can do this... Im flying in just for the race and would like to know whether a DSLR is allowed inside...

Please someone let me know!

Everyone appreciating the track, BBC discussing whether this is Tilke's best work yet!!

Predictions for a sub 1:22 pole times, everything looking great so far.

-ves: dust & pollution. Never been to Delhi, is it really that polluted?!

Dude! I am not sure I understand you correctly. Are you thinking that an event this scale would not have dedicated photographers and expect spectators to click photos?

Besides a few minor issues looks like India has done a wonderful job with the first race and should only get better with the coming one in 2012,

Btw no channels covering the practise sessions? Would love to see the track in action.

Regards,

Thanks George. Watched the 1st Practice session online.

Everyone seems to talking about the dust on the track.
Saw how Karun was trying to clear the dust from the pit garage.
Is it that polluted?
Anyone who has been to the practice please comment..

As mentioned in the post, that pic was shared by Martin Brundle himself on twitter (MBrundleF1).

His exact words were: "Our commentary cell in India. No window, nowhere near track. Apologies in advance we cannot do our job properly in here"

But like everyone, he too loved the circuit. And that's the most important thing. Hope the BBC team gets a better room for commentary.

I am from Delhi. Dust is a severe problem here. Only 10 min after cleaning ground or car, you can see a new layer of dust. Within 2 hours, there is need to clean it again.

I see a lot of questions regarding DSLRs. IMO, you should take them with you. If you get stopped then just pay a bribe. I am sure that DSLR owners are ready to pay a fees to be allowed to use their gems. That's the only way out I see (please don't start some Anna Hazare here).

Whoever are wondering about live telecast on internet can use this link. FirstRow Watch Live F1 Race Online | Moto GP online Stream | Formula 1 live streaming and Moto GP Free Stream

Adrian and Paul finishing 13 and 14 respectively for Practice Session 1. Good work. I feel pity for Kiran Chandok, he wants to be there so much but he is just not upto speed!!!
