Default Rossi/Yamaha world MotoGP champion 2005

Rossi rules and so does Yamaha. Honda as usual had the HP but seems like they need better riders.

I don't think the Yamaha is the best bike on the grid and still honda is the best one. But its the rider making all the difference, Rossi has proved his talent by winning on an inferior bike.

You gotta love Rossi! always comes up with something different after a race, and this time it was the 7 dwarfs representing his 7 World Championships in 125, 250 & the premier class.

His Yamaha is not the best, but his extraordinary skill makes up for that.

Sadly, Honda backed Sete, who we all expected to take the fight to Rossi this year, let the pressure get to him from the beginning and just never performed all season long.

What was interesting was Ducati's performance in the last 2 races. I wonder if its just a flash or have they finally sorted out the bike.

Yamaha was not the best bike last year when Rossi started, at current level it is better in handling than the Honda ever will be, also on the power department, it is now evenly matched, Yamaha is far more tractable and develops useful bhp, OTOH, Honda has the power, but that is not being distributed in the right range and nor can the chassis help it either. Also Rossi is a genius, there is no doubt about that.

Guys winner is the Best, Honda never helped the rider as did yamaha for Rossi. Ok, Rossi is the best in his skill, But the machine also responded to his skills, And i belive yamaha team has the edge to win. No matter how many skills has the driver if machine doenst respond then NO winning.

The main thing this year has been Yamaha's attitude.
They have gone through a lot of changes...including swapping the road going 5-valve/cylinder for conventional racing 4-valve/cylinder (which they still do not accept).
When Nicky Hayden was asked at the ITALIAN GP what he tested for, he said "THE SUSPENSION SET-UP AD TYRES"...When Rossi was asked the same, he said that they were constantly testing for parts which would provide them better traction, more horse power, lesser drag and more aero efficiency and a lot more things.
So no wonder Yamaha was a lot more reliable and better to ride though the HONDAs have been a lot more powerful...
As far as the Ducatis are concerned...they have just found the right set up while Rossi hasn't. Just a matter of time before THE DOCTOR gets his way with them too, and beats them with a childlike brashness.
