| BHPian | Rumble in the Bronx.....uh...that was what came to mind as the Mercedes SLS safety car came close enough to the camera for it's baritone V8 to be heard followed by the shrieks of the F1 engines. What a contrast!! Also the shots of the road car getting sideways on corners where the F1 cars were weaving to build up heat in their tyres was comparison of abilities. Kobiyashi was the guy providing the entertainment today while the boys in front were at their clinical best. Vettel a superb drive from start to finish. If he keeps up this level of maturity and level headedness going forward, there is no stopping this guy. Alonso and Weber did enough to keep their title hunts alive. It wasn't an overly exciting race but there were interesting scraps. Kobiyashi diving into corners was a feature repeated over and over. Wonder whether it has something to do with his familiarity with the track as a Jap driver. What a move by Kubica!! Too bad he lost a rear tyre and had to pull off. Seeing a Virgin racing car go off the track at the installation lap was... . First time for me.i noticed one thing as Alonso and Hamilton were putting on their neoprene, fire resistant masks. Hamilton's does not cover his mouth while Alonso's does. Hammy also made it a point to neatly tuck the neck of the mask into his overalls while Alonso just left it over his overalls. Just an observation. Massa who?? It is time this guy follows the sane move of his compatriot, Rubens and go park himself in some middle tier unit like Torro rosso, Lotus. Perhaps they both can form at item at Williams. Ferrari should give him his marching orders. I never saw any stuff in him. Drivers like Rosberg is so much better than him. Drive on!! Shibu. | Red Bulls were clearly untouchable Quite amazing to see the Renault to be so competitive, pity about Kubica though MS did pretty well for a change Ferrari should thank Massa for his services n put Kubica in for next yr. A driver taking struggling for the entire season to get his tires to work is unacceptable. |
