I go to Porsche Track day @ Road Atlanta

Adam, my colleague, is a member of Porsche club of America (PCA) he owns a late 80's Porsche 944 S2 and his father Russell drives a Cadillac CTS-V. Both father and son go to Track day events arranged by Porsche Club of america.
I had gone with them for the event held at Talladega Grand prix Raceway but that was significantly smaller in comparison.
Needless to say , i got the invite to join them for the event held at Road Atlanta, Braselton,GA

Road atlanta is a road course 60 miles north of Atlanta. This is a very high speed race track and is also the venue of one of the american Le mans series.








this event was arranged by Porsche Club of america extending to all Porsche owners part of the club. but the entry is not limited only to Porsches. there were Ferraris, Panoz's, BMW's, VW's,nissans and mazda's and a few others to join the porsches.

Now this is just taking it too far Avi! First, the superb thread on NASCAR and now this! You've really out-done yourself this time! Fantastic stuff man!

All those Porsches look so tantalizing! That white 996 GT3, that '86 911 3.2, that gorgeous 964 and that 993, that Boxster Spyder and all those beautiful 997s. Not to mention, of course, the light sprinkling of M3s and those 'Vettes. That white E21 Bimmer takes the cake though!

as for NASCAR, i've even been to a NASCAR Race !! I'm not sure if anybody will even want to see it.

yupp..that was a 360 Challenge and the exige was stock afaik. didn't sound like after market exhaust too.

That red Porsche 964 Cabriolet looks heavily modded. For one thing, it's got the front-end of a 993 and it's odd that the 964 Turbo has only a single pipe, a la, the 930. Generally, the 964/965 has two exhaust-pipes! Strange 911, that.

thanks dippy. there are tonnes of pix coming up..plus I've got in-car footage from my friends drive on the race track during the event..that'll be awesome..I'm uploading all images/videos sequentially.

No carrera GT here. all of them are in auction houses now.

Well.. it's just my love for Porsches, that's all. I've always loved Porsches right from when I was 5! And many years later, I had the privilege of being driven in one and that memory will be etched in my brain forever!

The white 997-I GT3-RS looks brilliant, with those optional red rear-clusters. And the new 997-II GT3 looks even better! The wheels and the exhaust on the red GT3 aren't stock (GMG exhausts)! Very subtly and tastefully done!
