Ok guys, this is it. We've had enough of F1 rules and regulations from the FIA officials. Y don't we make a set of rules and post them on this site? Who knows, one might just get picked up!!!

I have a few suggestions for "Bonus" points, that a driver can pick up during a race.

1. OVERTAKING - Every driver will be given 1 bonus point for every other car he overtakes. Mind you, he can gain only one point from each driver, overtaking the same car, 2 or more times won't gain him extra credit.
A position gained due to pit strategy, passing a back marker or your teammate will not be considered as an overtake.

2. MOST LAPS LED - 1 point will be given to a driver having led the race for the most number of laps.

3. FASTEST LAP - 1 point for the driver with the fastest lap of the race.

4. TEAM WORK - 2 points for the team, that has both their cars finish with the highest combined points.

For Example : If Ferrari finish in 1st and 4th places and Mclaren finish in 2nd and 3rd. Then Ferrari will get the bonus point as their combined points will add up to 15 against 14, of that of Mclaren. In case Ferrari were to end up with 1st and 5th adding up to 14 points (the same as Mclaren) then, the team with both their cars closest to 1st place will get the point, Mclaren in this case since they have both cars in 2nd and 3rd places.

NOTE : I have give these points asuming that 1st =10, *2nd=8, *3rd =6, *4th=5, *5th=4, *6th=3, *7th=2 and *8th=1 (points). If this point system differs from that, being used presently, don't worry, i'm sure you must've got the idea by now.

That's *it from me for the time being, will post some more, as they keep coming.

Feel free to post yor ideas, no matter how radical it may sound, we can then select the most practical off these rules and post them as a unit.

Regards...
Shan2nu

Cool topic

1 point can also be given to the team doing the fastest pitstop.

If points can be deducted as well then a minus point for an engine blow up in the race. Whacky but were just pretending arent we?

More to come soon

Well, If a driver wins a race with a huge margin over his competitors....he must be given a bonus point for the win.

how bout 1 point for the F1 driver with the hottest girlfriend ? hehe..

but on a serious note.. giving points for overtaking wudnt work..
the top teams wud sand-bag qualifying ( remember silverstone ) to get to the back of the grid..

and by the looks of it..
overtake michael.. and get 10 points ! ( u wud always win the race !!! )
