Greeting from Bangalore - suppose I would define myself as a person with petrol in my blood. I work for a major chip designer and manufacturer. Have a black Vtec. Cars are a passion - my dream trio - an Audi S8, a Porsche 993 cabrio and a Lotus Elise. Ferrari's - I admire them but feel that they do not have the raw appeal.

Hey Ajmat,

One of our oldest members (oldest aint the right term since this is a one week old board, but he has been with Formula India since a year now) Shan2nu also races in and lives by his Vtec around Bangalore.

Does your Vtec also have the famed high rpm knocking and low-speed jerking, or is it a post July 2002 model with the ECU recalibrated?

My Vtec is Sept 2002, there was a little jerkings and a bit of knocking. It has significantly reduced since using Speed 93

I agree Rehaan, though you see very few of them ( which makes it even better) I just love the visual effect of a Black Vtec....

totally stock - car fast enough for B'lore roads, will upgrade tyres later

Sorry for the delay guys,
Me 'n' my Vtec had been very busy last week. We did around 100+kms in 2 days, that too in a town like Hubli where every place is less than 5 kms away, so you can imagine the kind of driving i was subjected to.

It's good to know there's another of my kind in Blore.

Ajmat, i'll be in Blore next week. Let's meet up ones of these days for some interesting "Vtec" talk.

I'd like to hear more about the "Vtec on 93 Octane" xperience. My Vtec jerks a lot in lower gears. I'm sure the car wasn't desiged to run on 87 Octane.

As i've said before, I don't mind the knocking as long as it's ""Knocking on Heaven's Door"".
