Smile NxGTR Team has joined here :D

Hello everybody!,
We are a small team of engineers from USA and Mexico working on a car performance simulator, the first thing we would like to share with the forum is that the selecting user protocol seems very good! it is hard to find a forum with quality members as high as this one!

Our main research concern was to find out which is the most popular racing track on India to be included on our sim and according to a few other forums we found it is the Buddh International Circuit so is the one we will design in a few months.

By the way! one of our engineers will visit India on September 3 to give a speech on the CUBE Conference which this year will be hosted in Pune, India!.

You couldn't have started off at a better time. The BIC is a wonderful circuit, even by international standards, and is less than a year old. A couple of Moderators have been fortunate enough to lay down some rubber on the track. Fingers crossed for my turn to come

Good news is, they have recently opened the gates to any enthusiast who wants to experience the world-class track.

Look forward to some interesting threads from you.

Thanks for the welcome!
We can share our work with the forum, we develop a car performance physics engine capable of process 1000 math integrals per second to simulate vehicle acceleration, the project started as a hobbie in 2003 but now has become a (kind of) world wide usage performance tool.

According to the "intro rules" this thread will lock itself so, opening another one looks like the good way to start, however we do not have idea under what section should be.

Could a most experienced forum member guide us here?

PS: Since we are at GMT-8, our posting in the forum would be a bit delayed for obvious reason.

I think you should start a thread in Technical section for your topic

Hey, Welcome to Team-BHP.

Its good to know that Indian Race tracks will finally make it to some well recognized sims. This will definitely help builders here to set up the cars before they hit the track.

You can start threads in the Technical and Motorsport sections depending on the topics.

There are many Indian Race car drivers here who will be able to give you accurate feedback about track characteristics, etc. Unfortunately, most of the Indian guys have not yet driven on the Buddh circuit because the National Championships were not held there in 2011. We will be driving there come 2012 November, December.

Done already, the topic can be found here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techni...-buy-them.html (NxGTR Car Performance Simulator: Test mods before buy them!)

Would be nice to visit the track in person, hope I could do it on September.

Sounds awesome!

Here is a video i took of an SLS AMG going around the BIC in January this year, its got quite a sim-like feel. Might be a good primer for you guys :

Cheers,
R

Note :
- I added the track map and positioning manually, so its not always gps-accurate
- The video has been sped up a bit (mentioned in the youtube description)
