Colin -

The owner is a pretty high profile fellow -- Vijay Mallya. He owns United Breweries (UB) which is the second largest spirits company in the world -- I think that Diageo just announced that they are buying 51% of them.

He has quite a car collection in India and the US. A bit searching on the internet will reveal quite a lot about him and his collection.

Hullo Godfather

I am still very interested indeed in your information, but have so far failed to contact Hyundai Trident.

I have emailed but received no reply.

I have phoned several times but each time a voice says "Press 1 for English", which I do - and I am then told that I have put in an invalid response - and I can get no further.

I am prepared to write a letter but would much prefer to email or phone.

Can you help to get me in contact with them in any way ?

I have found the address in Sarjapur Road, Bangalore - and my son has even seen the roof of the garage on Google maps - but I still cannot reach them. Very frustrating !

So - can you help - perhaps there is a different phone number without the "Press 1" problem ?

We would be MOST gratefukl if you could help.

Sincerely Colin Sayer

Btw, noticed a typo in my early post -- should have said "One of them wasn't too happy at all..."

Hullo Nik

Apparently the car is a 1907 / 8 Wolseley Landaulette, possibly with a 20 HP engine.

I would be delighted if you could put me in touch with the owner in due course.

Although I am no car enthusiast I find these old Wolseleys fascinating. I saw a lovely one at a rally here with wooden spokes to its wheels: I have put an article in the Wolseley World about a 1917 Wolseley, probably used psrtly as a hearse, in Australia, where it indeed arrived in 1917 for use in the gold mines.

Thank you for the most interesting photos.

Sincerely Colin Sayer
