Smile Yet another BHPian from GOD's Own Country

Greetings to All BHPians!

Hi all,

I would like to take this moment to introduce myself as I have finally been able to join Team-BHP.

I am Ashwin, 25 years old and I am from Ernakulam. My passion includes driving & exploring new places (with both bike & car). Also slightly addicted to photography. And I don’t prefer stock ride even its bike or car, I used to do some modification on every ride so that it blends with my taste.

Presently own 1995 bullet 350, 2011 Karizma R, 2012 Ford Figo D, 2012 Renault Duster 110.

Short detail about my bikes and cars.

1995 model bullet, the bike was bought by my dad in 1995. Dad has real passion on Enfield; this bike was neither his first bullet nor the last. In 2000 for the first time I drove this bike, my first experience in driving (I know driving without license is a punishable offense, sorry). The after effect was I kept aside my BSA Streetcat cycle (which was my first ride ever) and started using the bike whenever I get a chance. At first dad didn’t allow, but gradually he allowed me to use the bike. Also we live in a rural area and the roads where almost empty most of the time. As I joined my college dad was forced to gives the keys permanently to me because I even refused his offer for a brand new Karizma R (which was my favorite during those days). So finally the bull is mine and officially my first bike. Had gone for lot of trips in Kerala and also to the nearby states too. Used the bike daily till I bought my first car. Now using for trips with friends and short drives in hometown. And for sure I won’t be selling this bike ever.

2011 karizma R, the bike was always in my wish list. Actually it was a replacement for our 1994 model RX100 (the bike was sold due to height problem as father is above 6 feet and I use it rarely). A silver Karizma was always in my mind but when they launched the 2011 model they discontinued silver, so I ended up in taking white.

2012 Ford Figo, here comes my first car. As I have to drive around 80km daily, a normal diesel hatchback was enough to meet my needs. Also I liked the car. As the dealer claims I am the first owner of the face lifted Figo from Kerala. I had plans for yellow Figo, but due to some painting issue there was no yellow Figo in the first lot, so I took Black.

2012 Renault Duster, It was replacement for our 2009 model Hyundai Getz CRDi (One of the best Diesel hatchback I have driven till now). Had plans for a sedan but after a long secession of talk and research we ended up in Duster. Took the top variant as it’s purely a family car and the rear A/C was also an attraction. Had done few inter-state trips with it, it’s comfortable and meet our needs.

I hope I didn’t make you people bored. Also attaching photos of my rides.

Hello Ashwin. Good to see yet another bhpian from Cochin. We already have a pretty huge base here in cochin and have frequent meets and drives. Your Figo became famous even before you joined TeamBHP I guess .

Anyways, hope to meet you soon in our group next time.

Have fun!

Hi Ashwin. God's own country eh? Surely displayed in your taste for modifications :P really love what you have done with your Figo. I wouldn't change it one bit in my head (which usually criticizes nearly every design)

Cheers

Welcome aboard Ashwin. Thanks for the detailed intro. Good to know you share the same interests of the Kochi BHPians. And you have a good garage to keep you busy.

Already seen invitation from the Kochi buddies. Looking forward to see you soon in a bad resort to taste some fresh FISH. Eventually you will get to know what I meant .
