Default Hello everyone!

Hello everyone. My membership recently got approved so I thought I should introduce myself. I'm Aasheesh, currently running my own business in Punjab. I've been a car enthusiast ever since I can remember. But there has always been a lack of people around me who share my enthusiasm on cars. People almost always start rolling their eyes when I push the subject too much. But I really can't help it. I'm sure all of you understand what I'm on about!

Cars I've shared with the family so far:
Maruti Zen
Maruti Esteem
Maruti Baleno
Skoda Octavia
Skoda Laura
Skoda Superb
VW Vento

Cars exclusively mine (which i can pamper and tend to for the first time! ):

Mercedes Benz C Class (W204 facelift)

My interests out of cars are mainly my work, photography and short film making.

I look forward to having a great time and some very interesting conversations with my fellow members.

Hello Aasheesh,
Let me be the first one to welcome you to this wonderful forum. Quite a garage out there. Waiting for the ownership review thread of your very own Merc.

I can sympathize your feelings. There is no one in my family who share my enthusiasm for cars and I have no one to talk with. That said, this forum was helpful to me right from the begining and I have now got so many fellow BHPians to share my thoughts with.

Please be familiar with the rules and always abide by them. Have a nice stay.

Keep revvin'
Neel

Welcome to the forums Aasheesh! We've all been in the same situation. A desperate need to talk about cars, but rarely a person to discuss it with.

If that's in chronological order, can we expect two more VWs in the future?

That's really something I didn't realize until you pointed it out.
Nice!

Hey welcome!

I have heard a lot about how Baleno is a drivers car and real fun to drive. I personally never got a chance to drive one. If you were to compare it against other cars in your collection, what would you say?

Hey good question. I've always admired how far ahead of it's time the Baleno was when it first came out. The pulling power was unbelievable and the ride was quite comfortable. I had one of the first Baleno's (and probably one of the very few) in Punjab so it was a pure Japanese spec car. Sure, it looked like it was beaten with an ugly stick, but as far as driving pleasure was concerned, it was up there with the best of them.

As far as comparisons go, I dont think it can be compared to anything on that list, simply because the Zen's engine was too small, the Esteem's technology was from the Victorian times compared to Baleno's, and the Octavia and Laura were both diesel cars.
