Smile Hello!

“Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall; torque is how far you take it with you. - Anon”

That is about the most succinct quote on motoring; and life too, if you get my drift.

Team BHP happened to me while researching for my first car way back when, and there has been no looking back ever since. With unbiased and quality content, I kind of look to this forum as the last word on not just automotive advice, but just about anything. Well, the urge to be actually part of such an elite group finally became too strong, and having got the membership request approved on my first attempt, here I am.

Hailing from the land of coconut trees, backwaters and Mohanlal (in no particular order, that), I have three and half decades behind me and work in a public sector bank. My 2010 i10 shows 82k on the odo, and keeps me holding back on the itch to upgrade mostly because she has served me so well and reliably. Growing up in the UAE in the 80’s and 90’s, I guess my love for cars originated with my father’s Mazda 323 sedan. Other cars in our household later on included a Lancer ‘89 and a Sunny ’93.

I am a pretty voracious reader, and an avid gamer, though a bit old school as in I still play games for the single player experience and don’t care much about multiplayer. In fact currently playing through Bloodborne, and simply loving the Gothic atmosphere and difficulty curve of the game.

Thanks for reading through my post, and looking forward to taking part in the forum, .

Cheers
Ramesh

Default re: Hello!

Welcome onboard Ramesh, lovely introduction there

Once upon a time, I was a fan of Unreal Tournament (the original edition) but the interest kind of died down.

See you around !

Thanks Eddy! UT and the Unreal Engine was a seminal moment in modern game history.

Nice introduction Ramesh ( Of course anything with mohanlal mentioned is nice to me ). Welcome to the forum and wish you pleasant times here.

You may have seen it already, the forum has a book thread too. So in addition to all the automotive stuff, you can get as well as share some recommendations on books.

Thanks Rajeevraj! Lalettan, in his prime, was up there with the very best in the world.
