Hi Nice People,

I am Rahul from pune.
I have registered on this board about a few eons back...but did not visit often
after that.

Pardon my bad netiquettes for not introducing myself when i Registered.
I am a regular on RDDREAMS and in some serious love with bikes

.

I was working as Test Engineer with DaimlerChrysler India Pvt Ltd for a year and thats when i started appreciating Cars as objects of desire.

I currently drive a 2003 Indica V2 diesel (Boring) and occasionally my Dad's Optra.

Will be more regular after this

Goodness you took a long while. Good to have you here. You sound like a person that can contribute greatly to this forum.

Tell us about the year you were a test engineer for Daimler India. I am sure many would like to hear more about it.

Test Engineer, not test driver...

I worked with DC india between Jun2003 to Jul 2004...
Have done a lot of testing with all The Merc models which were launched then...
Interesting models were
S500,SL500 with 7Gtronic gearbox...
E270CDI
Maybach 62
C220CDI ( This one was like my room mate..had it for along time)
Those nice 7spokes aloys we see on the New C-Classes...Mua was the first one to put it here on our Test car

Oh..also worked on that big Actros Truck 3340K or somethig like that...
All the truckdrivers that use to park outside the DC compound use to refer to the Actros as "Tata Ka Volvo"
