Default Hello Team-BHP world!

Hello to all BHPians, Greetings!

The first half of the year shall be fortunate, ripe for undertaking those delayed endeavours from last year, read my yearly horoscope. Taking stock mid-month, I realised that office work is going smooth, family relations are improving, a new car is finally being bought and there are unusual positive vibes in the air unlike the tumultuous days of last year. So, these do seem like lucky days I assumed, worthy of a stouter test, team-bhp membership. And whatever doubts I might have had about ‘dark powers’ of horoscopes were alleviated as I found myself writing my introduction for team-bhp. Since the planetary alignment has been much rewarding so far, I might as well empty a Casino’s coffer.

My name is Nipun, working in middle management role in IT industry and am of an age where understated elegance appeals more than fluidic designs, where one bores his own mind and family with ‘VFM’ talks, where the unseen future seems so much omnipresent than the upcoming weekend getaway and such.

I am great fan of team-bhp because I believe that there's no better place than this forum in the Indian cyber world for someone like me who loves driving & riding. It’s a library of sorts for an inquisitive mind to converse & know about almost every moving part aboard those wheels.

I have a strong interest and tendency to connect with machines whether cars or motorbikes. I’d been riding bikes all along whether for office commute, long rides or race my own times once in a while. I refuse to let go of the peppy heart despite the naysayers warning about fading alertness & the responsibilities I need to worry about, you know.

Here are those gorgeous ones who had kept me excited & going all along till now.

Ambassador/Dolphin/M-800 – 1985-1999 (Dad’s), Zen – 2002 till now, Old Baleno – 2006, Ford Escape, Dodge Grand Caravan (Canada) – 2009, Alto k10 – 2012 till now; BRV CVT – 2017

Rajdoot – 1987- first ride
KB-100 –1989- that cheetah ad made me buy it but damn I could never beat my friend on his Rx. That grudge still remains. The biking scene started improving that time. Fun days with IND-Suzuki, CD-100, RX-100 (sigh! those days)
LML-Vespa select II – charming body style, serene rides and easy wheelies
Honda CBZ- year 2000– a head turner in its own way.
RE T-Bird 350 – 2003, RE Classic Chrome 500 – 2013 (sold)
Ninja 300 – 2013 (sold) – albeit short, it was my first exhilarating experience on a sports bike.
RE Electra – 2015 – my present day steed, commuter and for getaway long rides.
Z650 or Z900 – wish list (next 1-2 years). I miss the refinement that Ninja 300 made me experience. And I want to upgrade to SBK levels so yearning for Japanese gem.
Harley Davidson – bucket list item, pretty sure it would be my last buy before riding days are curtailed.

Before closing, I want to thank Team-bhp moderators for letting me in and to all bhpians for keeping this great portal going. My know-how about vehicles as improved leaps & bounds since I first visited team-bhp and still am a voracious reader of the content. I look forward to a fruitful stay here learning and contributing to this ever growing knowledge base.

Thanks GTO. Yes, the initial ownership report is well underway.

Experiencing the creative side of me in a long time (authoring wise) and hoping to meet or beat the high standards here on team-bhp.

It's one of a kind experience for the author inside, writing, trashing the pages (like a poet) in an attempt to get that perfect write up. It'll be worth it at the end, I'm sure. Cheers!
