Intro

This is Vivek, a reader for long time but converted to a member today. I am not as much of a car freak as I see here, but yes, cars do excite me but I may not be familiar with all the details and the specs that get talked on this forum..

I am an Oldie, if I go by the age of the moderators here, an engineer and and MBA, loves gadgets, photography and travelling.

As a software engineer based in Germany in early 90's did significant part of Europe in Renault 5 GTS, my first car, including crossing alps on 1st gear. I think it was autobahns, which got the speed bug into me, watching mercs/bmw and ferrari's go past you at 250+ speeds when you yourself are doing decent 130+..

I have grown from Nissan Sentra (in US), the car I learnt driving on, to Renault 5 GTS to Maruti 800, Esteem, Ford Ikon 1.6, Skoda RS..

Manali-Leh is a dream that needs to come through soon..

I look forward to be on this forum, though given the corporate job that I do (to keep money flowing in) I may be an intermittent poster..
