Hi!

though i came here(belonged would be an apt description,though!) a few days back,but i didn't introduce myself straight away 'cos i first wanted to go through all the posts(which i've painstakingly done over the last week..),know all the regular crowd,the moderators,basically feel at home here(you can sooo easily get addicted to here...believe me,i'm addicted!)
So,....here's a bite about me.
I'm an animator by heart and profession,20 years of age.....am about to start my first job(yippeee!) for which i'll be moving bag and baggage to Pune(another yippeee!).Psst...i'l let you in on a little secret,i deliberately chose Pune as my job city.Why?? dude,...i love bikes way too much to stay away from Pune and Mumbai.Why else do you think i chosse to be an animator in the first place??.....'cos its industry is mostly based in Mumbai.(hint...hint).
In the next coupla years i hope to fullfill my most cherished and aggressively guarded dream(believe me,man! this dream of mine hasn't let me get decent sleep since i was 14.With a backgroung like mine(read : typical middle) class,its madness to even hope to own a SBK....but i just can't HELP IT! this desire just dosen't die! doesn't cease! doesn't grow weak! but burns brighter and brighter! ).I SHALL,no matter what,own a SBK(again,like RTeck says....i refer to SBK as a collective term for decent,fast bikes and not strictly as they are used to mean bikes with hearts of 750 or higher....right,RTech!)
If we are still on the same page and you have'nt drooped off to sleep by now,...let me tell ya guys one thing....we all ROCK! Lets burn the roads!
ahem.....err.....hehe...well,i'm yet to learn to drive btw.(oh gosh! gimme a piece of land to dig and hide in!)

It seems lately i read a members intro and i think "oh, this guy will like XYZ thread", and before i know it i realise from something in the intro that they have already read the thread!
Good to see that members are doing a lot of searching and reading before posting

A lot of members here have recently got their hands on SBKs... like Manson and FireBlader85 etc ... search for threads / posts by them as well.

well.....don't worry GTO,....i'm already pretty well versed with the rules doing the rounds over here.
Rehaan! ask me anything about animation and i'll be more than happy to tell ya....! For starters,animation is a branched process with various people doing various specialised stuff spread over pre-production, production, and post-production.These branches are mainly : visualisation(concept sketching,storyboarding etc),modelling(the making of what you are gonna see on screen),lighting(adding lights to the scene or creating the 'feel' of the scene),texturing(creating the 'look' of the scene),rigging(the process of making models animatable),animation(the movements in the scene),lip sync(the dialogues),rendering(taking the output/video from the 3d software)....compositing(all the green screen stuff is done here, all the flashy stuff ) and editing(cutting out faltu stuff).
I am an animator and rigger. I am upoading some renders from projects i've been associated with.Animation is a team effort,so any render/result does not belong to any one person but to the entire team.So these renders are my work,but they aren't the result of my own abilities alone.However,there's some personal work as well.

Great stuff man, though in the future you might want to .zip it instead of .rar since .zip is readily available to all (windows) users, whereas they might need to install a program for the .rar .

Howcome there were so many cars and bikes? Is that what you chose for this audience, or does a lot of your work deal with that?

Since you are a rigger and animator i was expecting to see some video!

hey!

srry for the late reply.I have been hit by the hurricane(figuratively speaking of course!) viral taking Delhi apart.So my internet hours are being minutely scrutinised!
Thanks,Rehaan! I'll keep the .zip thing and "...." thing in mind next time!Altough the dotty wirting style would take some time to go completely,but i adapt pretty fast!
And as far as my choosing these particular kind of renders is concerned;i guess my answer's both.I chose particularly my automobile rigs to show here.And secondly,i mostly so these kind of rigs!(hehe.)I have quite a few rig tests of weird mechanical, semi human characters.But the problem is their size,Thats why i didn't upload them.I have rig test videos of all these machines as well,but none of them is below 20-30 Mb.Hence,my choice to not upload them.Oh! and i forgot to mention before,I'm also into programing(C++ and MEL). I work mostly on maya.(i used to have Max on my fingertips,but Maya changed all that!Now i'm an out and out Maya guy!)
And that PS3 is a model created by a friend of mine.I just played a small,tiny part in it.Team effort,remember?

furioussphinx! i'll be more than happy to help you out! Just shoot,be it modelling,texturing,compositing,animation,whatever ....hathiyar uthaana chhod diye hai,chalana thode hi bhool gaye hai! :wink: Don't worry dude! I know my stuff,i'll do all i can.
