| Folks: I am Kimi (nicked after my pseudo-name when I was dressed as a girl during ragging at my Engg College, and that's stuck since). I love driving and 'cleaning my car' - though not sure I like owning cars - can't believe they are so pricey. I landed on this forum while researching for a premium car I wanted to buy - the rest is history...I spend bulk of my time on this site; took help from androdev and lamborghini. I finally booked a Octavia Combi yesterday - wanted Silver desperately to avoid being in Rudra's "God only help category" of colors but ended up with Flamingo Red. I am an entrepreneur - with fingers in multiple businesses and pretty old for this community! I live in Bangalore and love this city - would like to know though how my exhorbitant road tax is spent! I currently have a M800 ('97 model) and Santro Automatic and I love them! Look forward to sharing my car experiences with the forum Cheers, Kimi |

| Senior - BHPian | Welcome, diffsoft. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay here. Why do you say "pretty old for this community" ? If you havent already, you will soon see that the "old" TBHP-ians are amongst our best. Have fun.

| BHPian | Welcome Kimi, Condor is right, there is nothing like being old for anything in life. You are only as young/old as you feel, pls feel young & be young. A definite advantage for the TBHP is your experiences & advise that comes from that experience. cheers

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | Welcome to the forum Kimi! That was a nice intro! And interesting choice of car too! What's your reason for picking the Combi? Family or maybe a Pet?

| No pets but family iraghava - but i went through a excruciating decision making process before deciding to settle on the Combi. We had also been liking the concept of a station wagon and had considered Baleno Altura a while ago till we learnt they discontinued. Combi is certainly not cheap by any standards, but I loved the Skoda drive and did not mind a lower resale value (rather do not intend to sell it!). Kimi |
