as far as india is concerened, i believe that every country has its individual flavour all guests are treated well here.

there is a saying In india which goes "Atithi Devo Bhava" which means that "Guest is God" and i think most Indians still beleive in it.

I agree so much here Mansi. TheOne® is still getting used to Indian helpfulness and warmth. Often it can be even disconcerting to a person raised in western society.

Why do people want to help me when they don't know me?

Why would they send me such a wonderful gift? And many more questions that I try to explain patiently.

We may not have a fantastic country. It may not be very sanitary and our civic sense may be lacking. But I firmly believe we have some of the nicest people in the world living here.
And we really do treat our guests well. It is our nature and culture.
And about everything else? We are like this only, what to say?
