| Hi everyone! My name is Kim, i live in the Netherlands and i'm a car/tuning fan. i found this place thanks to my friend TDR, we work in the same hospital (i'm his supervisor *muhahaha*) so i asked him, are there any renault clio's on BHP? He said, no i think not, so we looked and found what we believe was a 1.2 lease. SO........to change that i would like to introduce myself and my car! I'm the proud owner of a Renault Clio RS 2.0 16v, black from 2000. She currently has 173hp and does a great job at killing most cars around here I'm in several Renault and Clio-Clubs and currently participating and co-organising meetings across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. (Conquering France is still on my wishlist:-)) enough with the blabla, i'll post some pics now!*finding out how to post pictures* As you can see on the last picture, i bought her in completely original state, lovely looked after by an owner who waved her goodbye with tears in his eyes (his girlfriend was pregnant, they needed a stationwagon). I quickly made some pictures of my old&new ride before the red Nissan 100NX was taken away by it's new owner. That was about 2 years ago. Since then i've changed several things to "personalize" my clio: Angeleye headlights LED rearlights bigger rearspoiler 17 inch darkchrome rims (with Toyo 205/40) Remus exaust lovely Hyfonics Zeus ICE installed :-) (pics will follow) lowered 3,5mm front, none in the back (ICE already handled that) No mechanical changes so far, love to install a turbo kit, but honestly have no idea where the hell to put it see 3 picture, i really have NO ROOM! So any advice on that would come in handy!Last edited by Rehaan : 30th March 2008 at 00:05. Reason: A max of 2 smileys per post please :) |

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | That's a nice & well modded RS you have there Kim, love the wheels!! Welcome to the forum & may you indulge in some madness like we all do here! Like your colleague said in one of his hilarious posts earlier, "What's sanity anyway!!" So being his supervisor, we expect more insanity from you!

The Hot-Hatch market was turned on its head when Renault launched the remarkable Clio RenaultSport 172 – the car that made ‘Va-Va-Voom’ a household phrase. Oozing sports performance from it’s 2.0-litre 16-valve engine and with eye-catching good looks the RS remains one of the most phenomenal cars of its genre - the 0-62mph time of just seven seconds underlining the car’s credentials. The low profile chassis and 16-inch alloys provided the clio with tremendous handling characteristics and, unlike its relative the Clio Renaultsport 172 Cup, it had the benefit of additions such as ABS and air-conditioning with a price tag under £15,000. Combining road-going excellence with high levels of distinction the Clio RenaultSport maintained its lofty position in the fiercely-contested hot-hatch market throughout the whole time it was in production. The Clio Sport has always been a powerful car, overcoming the Mini Cooper S (162 bhp), the Honda Civic V-tech (160 bhp) and the SEAT Ibiza Cupra R (180 bhp). POINT and SQUIRT - High Performance Small Cars Clio 172 Specification The little Clio 172 is a high performance car. With a two litre engine and variable valve timing tricks, a loony amount of power is available offering quite startling acceleration. | Hmm.. yes, what can I say? I've known Kim for 4 years now and I can tell you she has "petrol in her veins"! Honestly, if I see her appoach in my rear mirror I'll make sure I let her pass... any man should, imho... ![]() Besides a great friend & collegue, she's also very much into Yoga. Like I am with a few other collegues... including my wife! Kim loves to beat VW Golfs & Opel (GM) Astra's in a sprint. Needless to say she wins most of the time... One moment I'll, probably, always cherish.... is the moment I showed this forum and the galleries to her... Yup. Team BHP certainly is different from what we are used to in Europe! Love at first sight! TDR |

| BHPian | Hey Kim, TDR mentions you like beating Astras... i own a decade old one ![]() Lovely car you got there, always wanted a Clio ever since i drove it in NFS. Small enough to zip through traffic and park in tight spots in Mumbai and handling like a sports car. Just loved the engine bay picture and the huge rims. Just one quip though, the headlights are not looking good on the car. But then again, thats a personal choice & like TDR said, you love eating Astras ![]() |

! 173 from a 2.0 litre engine is impressive ! Drive safe !
