The sad part is that a number of valuable and historic cars were taken out of Pakistan from 1966 onwards- there being no law to stop their export. I have myself seen a Mercedes K type being exported out in 1970 from Rawalpindi, a Bentley 4 1/2 litre from Nowshera, the Nawab of Bahawalpurs 540 K Mercedes with Barker body ( recently on e bay ) , 300 SL Gullwing Mercedes, the Mir of Khairpur RR Phantom II by Hooper... the list goes on and on. All these cars sadly lost.

Just posting some pictures of cars I have been lucky to own.

Welcome aboard. I won't be surprised if the Alvis is your favourite one from the collection :P

Pictures 1 & 2 are Alvis TE 21, 1964
Picture 3 & 5 Bentley R type, 1953
Picture 4, Lancia Flaminia Touring, 1965

Sold to very close friends and family, all in loving and caring homes.
I bet you would have some great memories of owning these cars. Memories you want to treasure and share.
The photos you have posted, bring back sweet memories of those old bollywood and hollywood movies.
Am happy to hear that these cars are with people who are equally passionate about them.
Nice photos and welcome to Team BHP.

Welcome aboard! Nice to have someone from the Pakistan vintage and classic circle here. We come across many unanswered questions from time to time, hope you can help

Pakistan had a Gullwing?! I had no idea!

Wow - a petrolhead from across the border, and one with class!

Welcome to Team BHP, brother. You're about an hour away from where I work...perhaps we should meet up sometime.

All,

Thank you for such a warm welcome.

Rev Hard

A Mercedes 560 SEC from 1990 and a Mercedes 600 SEL from 1992. Both great cruisers and the 600 with its cutout free engine a real shocker to the latest BMW's and Merc's too.

Karlosdeville

Glad to help out with my limited knowledge, as for the Gullwing - not one but two. Both sadly gone now. 5500113 had the most romantic legend attached to its soul. Very very few know about it, will tell on the Vintage forum.

Thanks again for such a warmhearted welcome.
