I'm currently working in the UAE and have had the good luck to own, drive and share some great and lovely cars- both inside and outside Pakistan.

The sad part is that a number of valuable and historic cars were taken out of Pakistan from 1966 onwards- there being no law to stop their export. I have myself seen a Mercedes K type being exported out in 1970 from Rawalpindi, a Bentley 4 1/2 litre from Nowshera, the Nawab of Bahawalpurs 540 K Mercedes with Barker body ( recently on e bay ) , 300 SL Gullwing Mercedes, the Mir of Khairpur RR Phantom II by Hooper... the list goes on and on. All these cars sadly lost.

Just posting some pictures of cars I have been lucky to own.
Good grief. I'm totally bowled over by your collection.
It's a pleasure to have you on Team-Bhp, Sir.

Welcome aboard Alvis, nice collection you had there. Start a thread in the Vintage and Classic section about the "vintage and classic" car scene in Pakistan. Enjoy your stay here

a Mercedes 600 SEL from 1992.
I am not much into vintage cars, but this totally caught my attention. The 600 SEL is probably one of the best Mercedes sedans ever made! I love the W140, with that wild engine, only a true connoiseur could own it today. Any pictures? How are the electronics treating you ?

Welcome to Team-BHP!

gulp.. is the 560 SEC a coupe? I've seen one here in SD and it shouted Gangster inside from about a mile !!

Some pics would be really appreciated.

Pics of the 560 Coupe. Gem of an engine and one of Mercs great driver cars.

GTO

MUch simpler electronics than the later S 600 series, main reason I opted for the 92 was the reasonably reliable electronics. Great car and probably the finest 4 door speedster.

What a beauty Sir!! And I see you gave it the beans too. I'm sure it must be poised even at 240 clicks.

Thanks for the pics.
