Hola! Like to introduce myself. I should have done this before ruffling a few feathers a few weeks ago but I guess its never too late.

I am Raj (bet you couldnt have guessed from my handle??) I am from Toronto and have lived in Bombay and Dubai before this. Been an absolute car lover even before I could talk. So I have heard from my parents. My first spoken word was kia (oh wait a minute Kia cars werent made back then. they must have mixed it up with something else. These story tellers I tell you....) and I had a huge matchbox car collection, almost 250 cars of all shapes and sizes. I had my first merc back then too, it was a E280 wired and about a foot long. My dad bought it from Germany for me, but it wasnt RC. Tried fixing that later in life but I guess I wasn't made to do hands on jobs. So trashed it.

Been thru alot of cars,fav being the maruti 1000 and fiat when in India. Presently I am driving a very desi Camry which is on the way out making room for maybe a boxster or lancer evolution, its a toss up and I am guessing only my insurance agent will decide for me.

BTW I went to mithibai commerce passed out in 94. I read alot of you guys are from there?

Interesting to know that your garage might harbor a boxter or the Evo. I'd go with the latter,Allstate/Geico approving,of course.

Thanks Nitin! Unfortunately we dont have Geico and Allstate isnt the cheapest. Insurance in our neck of the woods costs a heck lot that what you guys pay. We also have the worst drivers according to a travel bulletin issued by US and Australia!

Really? Thats news. I thought Canadian drivers were a fraction better than the American.
None-the-less,insurance rates seem to be getting pricey off late. Thanks to a zillion morons on the street,with no sense what so ever of good traffic rules.

Yeh they pretty bad here, Check out the US state department travel advisory under traffic safety. Canada

But road rage isnt as bad as down in Texas, where I believe they simply shoot you if they cant drive thru you, but its getting there,

Quite true.Been happening a lot these days,especially in Houston.
A lot of people carry guns,so anytime they wish to use it,off it goes & off they go into hiding. Morons!
