Default What do I have to write in here ?

Dear Team-BHP members, I am Gopinath from Hyderabad. sorry, this is becoming more like a sick leave letter I practiced from Wren and Martin. Forget it.

Hey Guys, This is Gopi, driving to Team-BHP from Hyd. I just received "Learners Licence" registration from Admin. I was rejected in my first attempt. Couldn't impress them.

Second time, I did it. thanks Admin. (So what made me lucky for the second time will be a different story altogether. Wait)

Ok. What do i have to write in here... Sorry, I'm pretty much ordinary guy, who do not own a car. (But why should I write this first and have a guilty feeling! Many of my Indian brothers do not have any personal motoring choice anyway). Well. that was the dilemma I had till this moment in my mind. What do i write in here, with out owning any piece on 4 wheels ??? then I thought for a while, and said to my self, "I must be the most important guy who can write in here"... Why !

I do not own any car. and I do not own any baggage of being a Maruti/Hyundai/Honda etc., etc., owner. So I can be really a damn good critic of cars. How? I do drive and get driven by lot of cars in my job. I travel a lot and I choose every car available in India. What else do you need to love and appreciate wheels? then I jumped (in my mind) and started writing this.

So friends, actually I can be a good help to many of you. You want any unbiased neutral opinion on any car??? I'm here.
See you again in battle field. Wish me best of luck ! cheers:

here you go -- 2 simple tips: (to get banned as fast as possible)
  • Bash FIAT/Palio/Linea on the millions of threads on these cars
  • On travelouges section post this: 'nice pics. keep them coming'

Do you think that all of us who comment on every car out there own each car out there .

Welcome aboard gkoneti.
Another tradition is - to treat the first 5 members who welcome you to the forum.

@daru-man, you forgot to tell him that this must happen only in the presence of the person who introduces the new member about the tradition. And in the city of the (tradition) introducing member's choice !

Even by old 2007 rules, the majority of the welcoming members being from BLR mandates that this treat from Gopi must happen in BLR.

So, gentlemen, pick your place. And let the introductions (for Gopi) begin !

pls remember to make it "daru-man90", if you need the suffix . Not "91" this time ..

@Gopi, actually a better way to do it is to SWIG by daru-man & company when ever you need help - esp the technical stuff.

welcome aboard gopi, nice intro...i had the same feeling when i joined

i'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy your stay here, having a car is just incidental, as long you're as "car crazy" as all of us here.

Cheers

Well.. thanks to all of you for shaking hands. I'm thrilled to see all of you. I welcome the idea of celebrating this. Well, do we do this the ordinary way or something out of the box?

But why only booze to celebrate things. Can we try something radical. How about a joint eco/wild cooking session on any weekend. Place should be away from Bangalore and should be in a forest kind of set up. In olden days we used to travel to nearby picnic spot with utensils, rice and other food stuff and cook for ourselves in the greenery. Eat, celebrate and play. Comeback home by evening. Sounds interesting? Let us do this.

two conditions. 1. We must cook with only dry wood/twigs available in the location and with out any gas/kerosine stove. 2. No alcohol allowed. (no intention of offending spirits, but as I said, it must be according to the rules of being radical)

So who decides the place? ohh. before that, who says YES for this?
