| My name is Christoph Baker. I drive a 1951 Citroen 11B Traction Avant. I have been enjoying the fora on classic cars which Team-Bhp entertains for some time now and look forward to exchanging views and ideas about a common passion. How does one load on pictures? I would like to present my car. Thanks for your help. Christoph |

| Hi Christoph, Welcome aboard! What is the pope driving these days ? ![]() Regarding the photos, you may load a few in this thread, but it will automatically lock in a few weeks - so i suggest posting them in an existing relevant thread or if required, a new thread, in the Vintages section. For instructions on how, please take a look here : Announcements - Team-BHP cya R PS - I was just in and around Sorrento a few months back. Great place.

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | Hi Christoph, welcome and would love to see more pictures of your car and some material on the technology that makes Citroens special. Citroens always were miles ahead in terms of suspension and drive tech. Looking forward to more from you Best wishes

| Wow, that's a neatly maintained car. Welcome to TBHP. P.S. : Like Rehaan asked, what is the Pope driving (or actually being driven around in) these days ?

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | Welcome aboard Christoph, thats a nice looking Citroen you have. We have a fair number of them in India, here is one belonging to a fellow member. Citroen Traction Avant 1946 - Dussey’s Photo Gallery - Team-BHP A car very similar to yours regularly attends the local rallies http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/415927-post72.html (EDIT : Pics and Report 15th April, 2007 - VCCI Rally - Mumbai) You must also be fond of the DS Im sure, do see this page. Citroen DS in India And being in Rome, you must be fond of Fiats too, they are very popular in India as well. Have a great time.

Thanks to all of you who have welcomed me on board. As far as the Pope is concerned, i believe he only moves around in those funny glass contraptions that look like a shower cabin on top of a golf cart... ![]() Maranello is about 350km North of Rome, near Bologna. So it's not exactly around the corner. But there are plenty of Ferrari in Rome (a month ago a fellow turned up at a meet with his 1958 250 TdF!). As far as Fiats are concerned, anything after the myhtical Cinquecento (1957-1975), i just look the other way... But then, i'm a classic car lover since the age of 16. It's thirty years now that modern cars just don't turn me on. So i drive my 1951 Citroen as much as i can, but it is not a daily driver, because it is forbidden to drive in Rome during the week with cars that are not catalytic. And anyway, it's better (and more environmentally correct ) to use public transportation in Rome. | |
