Smile Hello Everyone...This is Victor

Hello everyone, this is Victor Sinha.

I have a simple and very crazy life history. Till date from the date I started learning things by myself I had 2 passions - Computers and Cars.

I got my PC 17 years ago when I was in Class 1. That day I became a fan of that box, till date I am crazy about it and you may have guessed correctly I am a Senior Software Engineer now.

And my second passion, why I am here is - Cars. Cars have a nice history with me. A journey with history I must say.

I grew up at maternal uncle's house. And my maternal uncle is a good admirer of cars and a bit crazy like me too. So I got to drive a hell lot of varieties of cars which he owned.

First Vehicle I learnt : Bajaj Chetak it was when I was in Class 5. I am a bit taller than the rest of folks so height was sufficient to learn the basics.

Next Vehicle : It was a Second hand Splendour 1990 model. My uncle bought it from a friend and it was where I learnt riding motorbike properly and started impressing girls.

First Car : Yes no points for guessing it was the only "proper" car around in the 90s. It was an Ambassador. But the difference was that it was a 1982 model. So it was older than me too. I used to drive it and it was pretty good till 60 KMPH after that I never pushed it. The things to mention about this car was that it had "hand" gears. Yes the gears were mounted with the steering itself. After a few initial days of difficulty we "modded" the car and converted to proper gears(leg gears!!!! lol). I have great respect for this car. What stunned me when I opened the blue book of this car was that - It was a 5 BHP car. Just imagine 5 BHP car. Still it comfortably would drive with 7 people onboard and do a 60 KMPH. Only thing was that after riding for 2-3 hours you need to give the car rest as it would be so heated up that you will get uncomfortable even in the rear seat.

Second Car : The heat problem was too much to bear. So we decided to buy another car. Now we decided for such a car that was like upgrading from a bicycle to rocket. Yes it was a rocket and the best car of its time. It was a Daewoo Cielo top end version. The car was a rocket. I have driven it to 170 KMPH without any problem and looks wise it was damn good. In our city only we had this car and whenever we used to go anywhere people used to come around and take a look at the vehicle it was such a proud feeling. We got many extra fittings imported from USA and attached it to the car. After 10 years of service its Fuel Economy failed to 5 KMPL so we decided to scrap it.

Third Car : Third was again one of the contemporary ones. It was a Swift VXI in December 2006. The car is still there and my maternal uncle uses it.

Fourth Car : I moved from my maternal uncles house to my parents home when I moved to college. Here I got a Maruti 800. It was not a very good upgrade from Cielo and never liked it. But it is one of the most practical cars of India I think. You can do everything with his 34BHP one. even I did wheelie and top speed I reached was 130 MPH(Though it was extremely scary)

Fifth Car : In the mean time I have grown up and completed my college and got a job also. So now its time for me to get a car. Budget was a bit tight so decided to go for a second hand car. My dad did some mistakes and blindly followed some mechanic got got us a very bad car. It was a Dazzling Red Santro. When first day I got the car, she was ill. First time I drove it she was damn happy so was I. Yes that was the car for me. The car choose me. I spent around 45K more and got the car in shape. And it looked so so beautiful that everyone of my colleagues(girls) used to like it very much too. I still have the car and would like to have it for life long. I installed Sony 440 3-Way Speakers in the rear and Blauplank 200 watts in the front and added Sony CD Player with USB support the top model the then. It was enough to blast of the car and turn other heads in envy. I did a hell lot of long drives with this car. Also for extra safely I imported Philips XTra Power H4 bulbs from USA and installed it. It was too good. I had a lot of experiences with almost all driving conditions with this car which I will share slowly. I have driven in every type of terrain and condition except snow.

Sixth Car : Hmmm...now I am transferred to Bangalore. But I am unable to bring my car due to registration problems here. So planning for a new car. Lets see how it goes. I have already asked for suggestions in the Hatchback section. Please help me out there.

This is my Car History and me. I am a crazy guy and I just simply love cars. Specially which I owned/driven till now.
