Geminis. Yeah i know the type. Go to bed as one person, wake up as another and change a dozen times during the day. And thats on a slow day . Thats why we Capris normally prefer to have no truck with them.

Nonetheless, welcome aboard. Interesting set of hobbies. Oh btw, horizon is tilted in the pic you posted. I noticed coz i get that a lot. And enjoy your stay!

I enjoyed it (what you said and the style) and enjoy it (doing it, albeit naturally).

Navan49 Sir, I am not seriously interested in alloy wheels for my Ritz. I am not a resident of chennai too. So I have scanty information on the subject. You may raise the query in the Tyre and Alloy wheel Section sub-forum under Modifications and Accessories and perhaps a Chennai BHPian may provide you somepertinent information. I have gone through this site to educate myself sometime ago and you may find it useful.

@mjothi, Thanks for your kind welcome note.

Hi Ponmayilal,

Welcome ! Well, that was some intro. Great entry.

Your photos were good. How long have you been into this art ? I ask since I have been bitten by the shutter bug recently and have got myself a Nikon D40. But yet to click some good fotos. Still in the trial and error stage.

(Here there are some more lines which I skip for brevity's sake and to take you to the the turning point.)

Kovalan:
Unnarunkanavan Gangyai anaithu, kanni Kumariyayum thannudan kondan

Your beloved husband , the chola king, embraced the Ganges and also took the Virgin Kumari (Kanyakumari at the southern end)

Aayinum un nenjil pagayedhumillai

Still you were magnanimous and had no enmity towards those maids Ganges and Kumari

adhuve pengalin karpukkor yellai

And that signifies the the magnanimity and chastity of the women

At this Madhavi sings:

Aayiram vazhigalil aadavar selvar

Men will tread a thousand paths,

Adhuve karpendru nammidam solvar

and still tell us that they are chaste and manly.

At this Kovalan takes offence thinking that she is pointing fingers at him for leaving his wife Kannagi and living with her. Leaves Madhavi and goes back to his wife Kannagi.

I have provided the English translation to the best of my ability so that other BHPians can understand. Hope you enjoyed this long post. Whether or not, I enjoyed writing this post, as always. Thanks
The movie was indeed Poompuhar, thanks! The translation you provide is very good. But it still can't convey the beauty and elegance of the original verse, can it?

Who was it that said "translating poetry is like transferring perfume from one bottle to another, you lose some with each transfer"? I forgot his name too.
