Default Introducing... Dr. SQ

Hi Guys

Im new to this forum so first of all... Its a pleasure seeing an Indian forum and honestly, I am more than pleased to be here. I have been into Car Audio for quite a few years now and I hope I will be able to contribute to this community.

Here is my current system. A few of you may be able to appreciate this system:

Car: Hyundai Getz GLS
Head Unit: Clarion HX-D2
Front Stage: Image Dynamics Chameleons 6.5" (Active XO, bi-amped)
Powered by: Tru Technology T4.65 amp
Sub: Image Dynamics IDQ12 sub
Powered by: Tru Technology T2.100 amp
Speaker Cables: Kimber Kable 4PR
Power Cables and Distribution: Connection Audison

As you may be able to tell, I have a tilt towards Sound Quality. We (Me and my partner in crime) have done quite a few installs ranging from 'high-end' to 'seriously high-end'. I can be quite a resource for information so feel free to ask.

Cheers

Default Hi, Welcome and question

Dear Gunbir,

Hi and welcome. Glad to have one more expert.

One questyion immeditely to you, . This has been bothering me quite a mlot.

I have also a Getz GLS

Question is What should be the fron install to get nice warm and not so punchy sound.

Problem is

1. No AMPS and SUBS , IMHO GETZ a too small car to loose the space on AMP and SUB.

2. HU is 7750 Pioneer ( got down through a friend)

3. Budget is 10000 for Speakers and installs.

What I would prefer is no lines visible at all in the car

Welcome aboard Gunbir. We have one more professional audiophile in our gang now.

I think that the mega audio thread (Car Audio Advice from the Audio Gurus: Use "Search thread" before posting a new Q!) might be of particular interest to you

Hello Gunbir, nice to have you here. Just a word for the rest of the guys, i have personally experienced the sound in his car and it is justified to say its one of the most amazing setups ive come across, very crisp and very powerful... thats the way it should be! Enjoy your stay around.

Hey Navin,

Make that the third person you know I have Kimber Kable in all my cars. I had silver streak in my esteem and PBJin my merc. Speaker wires were 4TC all around. I've had these installed way back in 1997.

I was checking out the Becker HUs on the net. Pricey I must say but we know what the pros are.

Gee... thanks guys.

Thats a nice welcome and again, I am really glad to see this community and pledge my support to the cause of better sound, better installs and eventually better music too..

Viper, I am really surprised to see other people using Kimber in their car. They are nice cables man...

Navin, My interconnects are currently Monster Cable MicroXLN, but will be changed to Connection Audison Sonus by this weekend. The Sonus is a very nice cable. Expensive though... and hey, the pics will be posted soon...

Arush... Thanks man. You are an inspiration cuz you're out there, doing it and loving it... Isnt that what its all about.

GTO, Rtech, Vivekphadnis, Sridhar and others... Thanks for your kind words. I've been on many international forums but it feels different (nicer) here.
