Talking Old Member but a New Team-BHP Fan

Name: Ashwin Iddya
Age: 30 years
Occupation: I run a small internet search engine marketing firm in Bangalore.

Rides:

Hero Puch (2 Gear) - Served me well in college
Yamaha RXG - My ride on my first job
1.8 Optra LT - My drive after becoming an accidental entrepreneur

Car related interests:

- Serious amount of out-of-bangalore travel with friends. The car has done 100,000 km in 5 years. Plus my friend's car which is used for such holidays has done another 30,000 km in the same period.

- Buying new tyres - for some reason, I love the grip and ride quality of the car in new tyres

- For some reason, I find all cars "good" - whether it is driving a Fiat Uno or a Hyundai Accent.

- I like cars with good ride quality. I don't like revving too much. However, on empty ghat roads, the devil takes over sometimes.

Non-car related interests:

I'm an avid stock market investor. 90% of my savings have been going into equities since I started earning in the year 2000.

And before you ask, I think 'Hero Honda' is the best automobile stock to buy in India.

Why Team-BHP:

Although I joined team-bhp long time back, I didn't have the time for it. But now I have become a big fan because of all those new car reviews (Figo, Beat, Cruze, Manza etc) that hit Team-BHP before I get my hands on Autocar India or Overdrive

So what next? Do we get a sub-forum for ourselves called Tulu-BHP?

Why not . We have a quite a no. of members from the coastal part of Karnataka. The proof is " The art of travelling to Bangalore-Mangalore" thread which is 110 pages long. But feels nice to come across members from Dakshina kannada in this forum

haha.. that road almost broke my dad's Santro Xing.

I'm not sure if its mentioned in that 100 page thread - but one can save 30 to 45 minutes of Bangalore - Mangalore travel time by going to Kunigal via Magadi town. The Magadi road too has slow moving traffic but that's only till the NICE road. After that, the roads are quite empty on the state highway.

One can avoid the Nelamangala NH truck traffic this way.
