Rules Need to be changed

Hi,

I just joined this forum coz i was about to buy a new car for my dad. I wanted to compare 2 cars i have in my list. But when i tried to access the "Which Car" forum it said you dont have priveledges Read rules.

When i read rules i came to know i should have 50 posts. Man i have to post 50 posts to this forum then what is the use of this forum. I mean why will people will come to this forum ??? just to have chit chat... or some thing.

I think rules should be changed.

We wish for members to become very familiar with the board, before they start posting in the "What Car" and "Marketplace" sections. I can show you 10 links that were posted within 10 days of each other with the title of "What 5 lac car should be buy?"

Please perform a search for the two cars that you are contemplating a purchase on. If its not already there, feel free to open a topic and the required action will be taken.

Indeed thts exactly the sentiment that I felt when I wanted to post and respond...
However, once you realise the rules of the game, you get accustomed to it.

Folks, ( me donning the robe of devils advocate ) : - The best way to notch up the count is to welcome each and every person who posts an intro... no-ones done that so we are rather safe... just a thought that i am sharing
