Default Hi from Australia

HI,
Thanks for approval-I have been looking at many interesting post and photos of some fabulous cars both classic and modern. It is amazing that you have so many classics and in excellent condition.
I am Australian, aged 74, and have always been a car enthusiast.

Have owned resto shop-many moons ago but we kept resto work mainly on VW Kombi campers as a hobby.
Currently have 1972 Mercedes Benz 280E (W114) Weekend car
1995 Mercedes Benz 300E 2.8 (W124) Daily driver

1974 VW Superbug (1303) Being refurbished)

Pics in order-last two are the last VW Kombi Camper we restored

Welcome board Brookie. You have got a beautiful collection in garage, enjoy your stay here in the most happening place in Indian automobile scene. There are many Beetles and Microbuses here as well, you would definitely love them.

Hey that orange van was in the movie "Little Miss Sunshine". That one was yellow in color though. Hope it has a trouble free horn.

Hello Brookie, welcome to Team BHP !

Good photographs of your restored vehicles there. Nice idea to have the spare wheel strapped at the front ! Your restored vehicle would last longer that way, I guess

Apart from pics from your resto projects, travelogues from your holidays in Australia (with pics) would be much appreciated.

Cheers

I was a member of a zuki club of Australia. I have a very good friend Brian who is a retired army man plus an ex-Mercedes service man. He is from Sydney but kind of nomad.

I came in to DIY because of him. when he was here in India in 2000. Learned a lot from him.

Welcome Brookie....Too bad you are in WA, else I would have loved to see your restored cars. I see a lot of VW campers in Melbourne as well.Is it easy to get parts in Australia for these?

Brookie, welcome to Team-BHP. Glad to have you on board this forum.

A small suggestion - when replying, if you post a reply within 20 minutes of posting the previous one, you can always edit the previous one with the new content to be added. That would help avoid back-to-back posts.

Some more helpful hints have been provided in the Announcements section.

Once again, glad to have you here, and looking forward to your active participation.
Have a nice day!
