OT: You're right, we can see that in realtime as well, this is known is Stroboscopic or wagon-wheel effect! We used to spend a few minutes on this, trying to catch up with the fan speed/movement at bed time - childhood days

The first person on the list has application no 12 and the last person 73037
That means total number of applications for the lottery were 73000+. Why did M&M say that it was only 25000?

Slightly OT.

mannubhai: spotted your mamba on Sunday, 26 Feb 2012, on thoppur to Krishnagiri NH. If you remember we (scorpio_fan - my brother and me) in a white scorpio trying to catch up with you on NH - around 10 PM. We were on our way back to Blore from our hometown that day.

Cheers

What are the peculiar electrical problems that anyone has faced on the XUV? And have the Mahindra *** managed to convincingly resolve them?

Someone already mentioned that the booklets were distributed all over India among the dealers. So not all leaflets would have been used & in sequence. One dealer might have got the booklet with serial numbers 1-1000[example] & another one, the 72000-73000 numbered booklet. Hence the total booking need not be 73000+, but 25000.

3)The RHS head lamp throw, which gives me a big dark spot.
Hi Manubhai,

Did you managed to get this problem resolved, I am also facing the dark spot problem on RHS in low beam in my XUV. If yes, what is the solution?

Thanks!

Sadly they still seem clueless. Im told many vehicles have it. But some dont.

So its for sure not by design.

Dear Manoj,

Hope your XUV is bringing you lots of happiness.
I have a few questions:
1. Was the tyre with crack replaced free-of-cost?
2. Is the lock issue on front door resolved?
3. Any resolution to the grinding noise from the brakes?
4. Are you persuing for right side headlight unit replacement for the 'traingular spot in the throw' problem?

Thanks
SDP

Those are dealers who booked with an intention to earn some quick bucks and they ask for premium when you call them up.

This is a racket, I spoke to one such "seller" he turned out to be a small time used car dealer and asked for a 1.5 lacs premium.

I remember, I was suggesting one of the guys on FB to go ahed and sell his car ASAP, right after the lottery results, which he won apart from his regular lottery ticket (he may have bought more than a couple I guess). I told him that the hype is going down soon.

We are almost there. It doesnt have the exclusivity tag anymore nor something that world is crazy about, the rush/ the hype was never created by the genuine consumers, it was by crazy folks and they are tired now, going back to their business or some other crazy thing. Moreover, initial niggles are bringing the reality in the foreground which the craze cannot stand against.

Guys who lost in the lottery can get the delivery in another 10 days time if they go with full payment now (provided they booked in April again when invited).

All who thought they can make some quick buck and werent really quick may end up loosing some.
